Obama is a wolf in sheep's clothing. Read the book of Revelation and be warned that he will proclaim peace out of one side of his mouth while serving our heads up on a silver platter to our enemies. AND as predicted. most people will follow him and be fooled into believing that he is a miracle worker. This award further exemplifies the undercurrent of political change worldwide that is leading to a one world government with one leader.......Nobel Peace Prize winner? I think not!!!!

I believe noble committee has come to realization that Obama will never be able to do anything because of the obstructionist folks among Dems and Republicans both,some Dems and all repulicans will do any every thing to fail Obama, I don't think Hillary and her supporters have forgotten the primery and republicans have lot of reasons we all know very well, for them Obama is a bitter pill to swallow, they want to keep the whole world the way it is,because that's how they they became so-called superpower by destablizing the other countries and making money by selling weapons.

Congratulations to our president! I'm glad that most of the world appreciates him more than half of our nation. I'm tired of the negativity towards him and everything he is trying to do. I'm sure it will not deter him from doing what he believes is right. I think it's a hoot how liberals are being called elitist by conservative commentators. If the belief that we should collectively take care of our sick, elderly and poor is elitist, well then I am proud to be elitist!

So he gets the prize for domestic legislation that hasn't actually passed yet? I have to admit, I'm bitterly disappointed by this for reasons that have nothing to do with Obama. I thought that this year of all years - i.e. the 50th anniversary of the Chinese invasion of Tibet, the 20th anniversary of the Tiananmen Square Massacre, and the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese communist state - the Nobel committee would finally recognize one or more of the very courageous Chinese dissidents who have repeatedly risked their lives in the name of freedom and human rights. Instead, they gave it to a guy who refused to meet the Dalai Lama and had his Secretary of State come to China and pretty much promise that they wouldn't cause trouble bringing up any of those pesky human rights issues. It feels deeply, horribly wrong.

OK Obama has stepped in to office with more then many presidents have ever had on their plate. The national deficit, the Iraq war which was costing soooo much money...Please republicans get over it you lost! So when he won the "Nobel Peace Prize" it was because President Obama has and is still truly trying to help us the American people. Just like when he spoke about his National healthcare plan he talked about a woman, a mother, someone’s daughter who need a mastectomy but her insurance canceled on her and by the time she was able to get the operation it tripled in size or maybe it doubled i forgot but that's not my point... My point is that a person needed help and it should not matter about money a human being is worth more. So with Obama's Healthcare Plan he is trying to get every American health insurance which is what we should have done a long time ago... On this note it should not matter if your a republican or democrat we all should be here to help one another. That is why Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize because he is here to help.

The Nobel committee said they awarded the prize to Obama for his "extraordinary efforts"... Olympic athletes don't win gold medals for "effort", students don't get A+ grades for "effort", actors don't get Oscars for "effort"... the whole thing is ridiculous.

If he declined it he wouldn't receive another one. It's snubbing the committee that awarded it to him in the first place. Although I don't believe he deserved the award, hell no should he give it back. I wouldn't haha.

He should have declined it and asked to be reconsidered at the end of his term. That would have been the classy thing to do. Accepting it just makes him look like a narcissist.

Although I admire Obama as a politician, considering that he´s the president of a country that has two ongoing wars, the fact that he´s wone the Nobel Peace price is a bit ironic, to say the least...

Mohondas Ghandi was nominated for the award five times but never received it. Nelson Mandela was awarded the prize DECADES after his efforts began only to share it with another recipient in 1993.

Sadly, the committee didn't give an award.. it used the award as an encouragement to do something about peace in the middle east.. kind of pathetic on the Nobels part I feel for Obama.. this was probably the LAST thing he needed in the midst of all of his promises that have yet to come true. Actions speak louder than words.. Unfortunately, Obama followers are blind but not deaf.

I am a big supporter of Obama but I did not feel that he was the best choice for this award. When I heard this on the news this morning, I thought - for what? He hasn't been in office long enough yet to have really made any difference or impact. Don't get me wrong - his foreign diplomacy is way better than Bush's (at least IMO) but it hasn't accomplished enough yet to warrant this - and especially when you consider he was nominated less than a month after he took office. There were other individuals who deserved it more. I would rather it was awarded for efforts already put forth than as a means to provide momentum for future efforts. The only thing I could possibly think of that would have got him nominated was the efforts he was making once he was elected and before he took office, but I don't think those are Nobel Peace Prize worthy.
