Back in the day when I watched waaay too much television, I couldn't even justify it by saying I was watching the good stuff. If anything, I watched the worst television had to offer. Take Cheaters, the reality television show hosted by smarmy Joey Greco.
The premise was simple. Tail some guy or gal who was stepping out on their significant other, show the horrified cheatee the video evidence, and ask the wronged person what they wanted to do. The magic words I longed to hear? "I want to confront him." In this clip, Joey works his magic as he leads this poor woman into a blow-by-blow account of her boyfriend's cheating, accompanied by his transparently fake concern for her. In one infamous episode, Joey got his: a cheater actually stabs him, and they aired the episode! Ah, the good ol' days. Bring back Cheaters!

I never saw a whole episode, but I clips of it frequently made Talk Soup. That was AWESOME! I also say bring it back!

2A lot of the participants (including the girl in that stabbing episode) have been coming out recently saying that they were paid a few hundred dollars to pretend to be with a guy they had never met before. Inside Edition (yes I watch trashy TV too, lol) interviewed the director or producer or whoever and asked where the guy went to the hospital for his stab wounds and he said he didn't remember, and he refused to go into detail about any part of the show or explain why several participants were saying on-the-record that it was fake.

4i also heard that original host left because he was getting threatened by people who either recognized him, or had been on the show and were pissed. lol
5I still love that show, although I feel bad for most of the people on there....
6I've never saw this but recently I was scanning the tv early one morning and saw "America's Trashiest Weddings". I couldn't help myself - I watched and indulged in the ultimate trashy weddings. My favorites (because they were so awful) were the couple who got married in a tree stand wearing hunting gear and the guy who married a stripper and had the reception at her strip club. The bride and groom stripped for all the guests (including their parents) and took a bath in front of them. Completely awful - and yet I hope to catch another episode on.
7Cheaters is f***ing brilliant.I would love to see one of the cheating scum get a good battering by the wronged party and end up in the local Accident and Emergency unit or even the mortuary.
