I know you'd rather not talk about herpes, but the only way you'll know how to prevent yourself from contracting this STI is by knowing the facts and myths. Take this little quiz and you just may learn a thing or two.
Herpes are gross. And i have a family member that might have it. Any form of STD is a disgusting thing, and I would not state anyone who has it. It's sad that some people get them. But that are the consequences of sex outside of marriage. That attitude of people saying " it's not a big deal" is the attitude that herpes and other STD's are spreading like wild fire. It's just disgusting how humans are.
STD....I don't want to see this word anymore............... I must say that I am cute. But I got an STD 6 months ago. I had to date singles living with STD on stdslove.com. Thank god, I finally met someone!!never lose hope

I got 6/6! I have been super careful about STIs and have tried my best to be on top of symptoms and precautions and whatnot so yes. My doctor actually told me that a lot of people carry the herpes virus but many people never show symptoms. That really freaked me out.
Great quiz! I do wonder about the test though because I went to my doctor and asked for it. She said that the test was unreliable and that everyone would test positive for it because of the cold sore thing. She also said that one in five people have it and acted like I shouldn't be worried about it. It just didn't make sense because I wanted her to test for EVERYTHING (something that I like to do after a bf and I break up), but she refused. Needless to say, I don't go to her anymore. Also, one of my friends got it from an ex-girlfriend in a monogamous relationship too. It's not horrible, but it definitely something that's annoying.

Hmm...5/6...question 5 definitely makes herpes horrible though. Good quiz...know some people that could use more sex education, especially when it comes to STIs/STDs.
Good quiz! I thought that painful urination was a result of the infection, not a symptom, so I got that incorrect. I'm with Bella. While I've been extremely lucky and have avoided STDs, I don't think it's the end of the world like some people are making it out to be on here.

No, herpes isn't pretty, but three of my friends have it (two got it in what they thought were monogamous relationships) and I don't think they're gross at all. Are they happy they have it? No, but it's not as horrible as people make it out to be. (I mean, if you've had a cold sore, you do have a form of herpes.) Usually they have one small flare-up once a year or so, take their medicine, and it's fine. I'm still careful to protect myself — I always have the boner-killing "So, uh, you been tested for STDs?" talk with new partners — but I also know that if I someday DO get herpes, it's not going to be the end of the world. Thanks, Dear, for making this quiz and helping educate people!

so scary... when you think about STDs and how easy it is to get them, freaks me out. I get cold sores every once in a blue moon and if I feel like I'm getting one I take valtrex and it goes away before a sore appears. That little pill does so many things.... It also helps with chicken pox and shingles! Which I don't have.
Herpes is more common than you think. I have a friend who has it, and I just feel sad for her. She thought her partner "looked" clean. And he didn't realize he could pass it on even if he had no sores. Really sad.
