I always wondered what was stopping kids from using pools that belonged to people who were always out of town, or pools that are at hotels or apartment complexes that are closed at night.

I wonder if one of the teens were hurt - would their parents try to sue the home owners. Sad. I swear the word respect is becoming non existent.

And it's true, what bellaressa said - if any of the kids got hurt, the owners of the pool would be sued, even if they didn't know the party was taking place! Ridiculous.

Last year kids in my neighborhood were breaking into newly built homes in the middle of the night and throwing parties. I can't remember the crazy term that they used.

I remember an incident from several years ago. I was pretty young so I don't recall all the details. Teenagers snuck into a back yard to use the pool. The owner woke up and thought someone was trying to break in. He grabbed his gun and several minutes later a one of the teens was shoot. This is a dangerous game to play.

Oh, every time someone invents a new technology and kids find a way to create mischief, everyone always decries the downfall of morality. It's just kids having fun. When I was a kid we used to play "Dip and Dash" in our neighborhood. It's the same thing.

Accidents happen, but well you feel a lot worse if an accident happen to you in when you are doing something you shouldn't be doing it.

We had kids come onto the property of the summer camp i worked at, and swim in our springs, by florida law you cannot swim after dark in a natural body of water without a permit, FOR A GOOD REASON,....we heard screams and ran down there with flashlights, two naked teens on the floating dock, One big ol alligator wanting a midnight snack. I had to go get them with a canoe (still nakie) and tell them to stay away and tell thier friends too.

holy crap thats really dumb. lucky for me, my friends throw pool parties in their own pools - complete with illegal activities.

Pool party - no. Field party - yes. A lot less dangerous and a lot more space!

I would never do that! Heck, I don't even like stepping onto a neighbor's driveway when they aren't home (when I was a kid and my frisbee would go into my neighbor's yard I always felt wrong stepping on their lawn to grab it... even though my neighbors were the kindest family.)

If someone get hurt or even worse drowns, then the owner's are to blam even though they had no idea this was going on. Those teens and yound adults are morons.
