The heat continued this week, and we saw the excitement in the eyes of competitive athletes looking ahead to the 2012 Olympics and tears in the eyes of same-sex couples in New York who were finally able to wed after decades together. Today is also another royal wedding, this time between a princess and a rugby player. But as we close out July, we were reminded just how precious life is with the tragic death of 27-year-old Amy Winehouse last Saturday, the aftermath of last week's attacks in Oslo, and the suicide of 29-year-old Olympic medalist Jeret "Speedy" Peterson.
