Exclusive Photos of Olympic Torch Demonstrations and Relay!
I just got back from the Olympic torch madness in San Francisco. Human rights and pro-China activists showed up. Video of the torch, and other CitizenSugar coverage, will follow tomorrow. Enjoy my pictures of the event!

i love your pictures!
For me, it's between "The Yeti Says Free Tibet" and the pregnant lady with a design painted on her belly. I think I like the yeti demonstrator best.
1Thanks! There were some other good ones, it was hard to choose which ones to post. I tried to be a set of eyes for all you CitizenSugar readers!
2awesome pics!
my favorite signs were "China: Act Your AGE, Time To Be SAGE" (a little forced with the rhymes if you ask me), and a pencil-written one by an old woman saying simple "Go Torch"
3Those are great pics! Thanks for being our eyes on the street Liberty!
4Great pictures! Did it feel like you were in the midst of something historical? Pretty intense and amazing all at the same time!
5Heh, note, if you post a comment while looking at the slideshow, the comment is a no-show, apparently. Too bad they can't load in the same box, same page.
6As someone who was at the Ferry Building protest, I can say that Liberty got some great shots that captured the event really well.
If you'll indulge me, my brief impressions: there was a feeling of being in the midst of something historic not because we saw the torch (we didn't), or because this changed the world (it didn't—even though the protests did call a halt to the closing ceremony and may lead to a truncation of the torch relay). The beauty of this event was that you had pro-Tibet, pro-Burma, pro-Olympics/China, Save Darfur, etc. protestors all there, all stating their cause without police interference (at the Ferry Building—there were incidents along the actual route), without incident, and without violence.
7This was free speech as it should be, and it was fantastic.
As someone who had their house burn down, I too am against torches.
8HAHAHA
