I don't think monogamy is easy, but it seems better than dealing with a promiscuous partner. It's why I didn't agree with Holly Hill's theory in Sugarbabe that men are wired to cheat, and women should let them.
But there's empirical evidence that says women are more likely to have a problem with emotional cheating than physical cheating — too bad there's rarely one without the other. Yet if you had to choose, which would be worse?
