Burkina 2 years I'm not embarassed to read anything in public. Nothing. I would be embarassed to read Twilight at home alone with the shades drawn. awesomepants 2 years The only books I would be embarrassed about are the ones I wouldn't buy. Madonna's sex book for example. I could probably go to jail for cracking that book open in public. mixedpie 2 years i don't understand why wedding magazines would be embarrassing (especially if you're engaged), or Harry Potter (the first few are children's but by the time you hit the end of the series, it's a little intense to still be called a children's book). The rest of those I probably wouldn't even touch, so reading them in public isn't really a concern of mine. lol lickety split 3 years OMG. I don't give a crap what people passing through my line of vision think of ANYTHING. Seriously, for all they know you work for a company that pays you to review books. losteiffel 3 years lol I am always reading romance novels in public, tho I try to not let people see the cover of the book. inlove23 3 years ^ Great book though!! inlove23 3 years Anything with sex would be embarrassing. I have Chelsea Handler's book "My horizontal life" and I definitely feel guilty about that one. Lol. Maybe it's because I can't stop laughing when I read it. walter69 3 years i found Harry otter embarrassing traveling on train..i prefer reading books like "The secrets"..try reading it covering the outside covers doesn't matter what book you reading...its cool boredgourdless 3 years This is why one invests in a Kindle; so one can read all sorts of trashy romance novels in public without anyone ever knowing. Ladyseven 3 years I would be totally okay with reading Harry Potter or romance novels in public. HOWEVER, I wouldn't touch the rest of those with a ten-foot pole. goldenjaya 3 years I am who I am, so I'm okay with people seeing me read anything I pick up... But since my minor in college was literature, I did get a lot of good-natured abuse when I got totally addicted to the True Blood books. (I'd defend Harry Potter all day long-- Rowling vreated an entire universe with incredible detail, I'm in awe of her ad a writer!) POPSUGAR Fitness 3 years I totally felt I had to explain to people why I was reading the first Harry Potter. I don't think they cared, but I felt a bit odd. But my friends 9-year-old son lent it to me because it was the first book he really liked. Thanks Jerome! amber512 3 years I think the better question is would I ever read any of these, and that would be no! Although the wedding magazines is only because I'm already married! stephley 3 years Generally I don't care what people think - I switch it up enough that if someone important was judging me by bookcovers ( :? ), I'd be okay. Sometimes, trashy books bring funny comments from people who notice. totygoliguez 3 years Anything vampire related its embarrassing. I would be embarrassed to read anything sex related in public. postmodernsleaze 3 years When I read Twilight, I brought it to campus a couple of times to read between classes... not gonna lie, I kind of hid that thing haha. Then I saw a bunch of girls reading it, so I felt less of a dork. But I don't really get why a wedding magazine would be embarrassing? skigurl 3 years the only thing I'd ever read in public is Eat Pray Love, and if I were engaged, the wedding mags. HoneyBrown1976 3 years I agree dexahlic dexaholic 3 years The only really embarrassing one on that list is Twilight. But I'd be embarrassed to even read it at all, so...
