Ellen DeGeneres shared her reaction to President Obama's full-fledged support for gay marriage today, calling it "an amazing day for our country." The openly gay talk show host has high hopes for the future, saying, "There have been moments in history when someone has had the courage to stand up for what they believe in and that one action changes everything." The problem is, it wasn't "full-fledged support"  His stance on gay marriage repeated what he said in 2006 (two years before saying he was against it) and will do nothing new.  He joins people like Dick Cheney in believing the states should be able to control what they do (as they already are).  He spoke of it being how he felt personally, but not in policy.  The thing is, HE IS THE PRESIDENT.  His personal beliefs are things which he can use to create change to a much greater extent than you or I can.  Yet he does nothing.  More empty words from a failed president.  He can't handle the economy, he doesn't really do anything to support social causes.   Bye failure.  Marriage Equality will come one day, but it will never be truly ACTIVELY championed by Barack Obama.
