— Elisabeth Hasselbeck offers one explanation for homosexuality later in life during today's discussion on "late-blooming lesbians." I wonder if she'll ask President Obama to weigh in on this theory when he comes on The View Thursday.

While I do not agree with Elizabeth Hasselbeck's political viewpoints, I will say those calling her names are being childish and silly. Hasselbeck did stand up to say Sarah Palin's reload language was too strong, and not the right way to handle political debates, so you have to give her kudos for that. On the other hand, I do not agree with her comments on peoples' sexuality, which I think she really does not need to comment on.

Megan McCain, maybe? She's beautiful too, wow, you don't need to be old and lonely to turn into a lesbian for that woman. Or damn near any conservative woman on To The Contrary. I rarely watch TV but the few times I've caught it I was thoroughly impressed by both sides. I would love to see him go on public television more in general, though the two people I would love to see him give interviews to most are Rachel Maddow and Jon Stewart. I'd like him to go on Glenn Beck, but only if he walk onstage, calls Beck an idiot, punches him and leaves.

Please, she's famous for being a contestant on Survivor, therefore has about as much credibility as a Flavor of Love skank. If you expected her to say anything remotely intelligent, you're as dumb as she is!

Joy Behar’s not a conservative, and neither is Whoopi – but I doubt either of them will fawn over Obama. They’ve both been critical of him at times and neither is afraid to speak out. I like to think there are well-informed, articulate, conservative women who could get along and co-host The View. I just can’t think of any.

If you sort of like The View but wish there was more intelligent conversation, check out PBS's "To The Contrary." http://www.pbs.org/ttc/index.html The women are jaw-droppingly well-educated and they are marvelous debaters. I would love to see Obama go on a show like that, first, to support public television, and also because the debate would be better. I've only seen it once or twice but I wonder, are there any well-informed hard-core conservatives on The View? Or would they all just laugh and fawn over him, ask a couple scripted 'debate' questions, and then take what he says as fact? starbucks I wonder that same thing, frequently actually.

I don't live in the US and I have never watched the View...but what kind of crap is this? All the quotes I hear from the show are racist, misinformed, homophobic and/or just plain stupid! I mean that Sherri or what her name is saying the world might be flat? There's really no point listening to these women and honestly, the US cencors so much...why not them? Boobs and some profanity isn't gonna hurt anyone, their hateful und stupid opinions on things are just plain dangerous!

So, she's assuming only "older" women are lesbians? Does she not realize some teenagers and twenty-somethings are lesbians too? That's silly. And furthermore, not all men pursue younger women. That's a rather tired generalization.

I don’t have a problem with Obama going on the View. It’s a popular talk show on which news topics are discussed by women with a range of political and cultural affiliations – I don’t see it as much different from a town hall. The presidency survived Richard Nixon saying ‘sock it to me’ on Laugh-In, it’ll survive The View.
