Governor Spitzer is set to make a big announcement at 11:30 EDT, in mere moments. While we wait for his news, here's one from the ad-rageous archives. While running for New York governor, Eliot Spitzer told the public: "I simply asked if it was right or wrong. In the end it's not a bad rule." The governor now finds himself in the middle of a prostitution ring bust-up, and learning a little right-or-wrong himself. . . .

But, what if it feels so right? Ahhh.... the irony.

I never paid much attention to state based NY news (haven't lived in NY in years) and wasn't too familiar with Spitzer beside him being a very "moral" and a smart guy. I really feel for his wife and daughters, because of his selfishness they have to put up with all this scandal and humiliation, did he not think of them or the people he was serving when he was indulging in these activities? Did he not think he would get caught, he knew all the rules but he clearly thought he was above it. The irony in the add kills me lol.

Mostly I think it sucks to be his family. I'd be so embarrassed if this was my husband, dad, brother, etc.

You know part of me wants to say YEAH TAKE THAT BITCH! But on the other hand the more reasonable side of me can't help but understand that likely 99% of us has done or will do something in our life time that we are ashamed of. He just happened to be caught in the public eye.

I havent lived in NY for years so I don't know much about him other than what my relatives there tell me (they are not fans)... but I find it interesting to hear from BOTH sides that this guy was pretty much univerally disliked! Thats really surprising... I think there are few people who are disliked by the opposite party and their own party...
