How Long Was He Cheating Before You Learned?

After nine months and one finalized divorce, Elin Nordegren spoke about her philandering ex-husband, Tiger Woods, to People magazine for her first — and she says last — interview.

"I'm so embarrassed," she said. "I never suspected — not a one. For the past 3 1/2 years, when all this was going on, I was home a lot more with pregnancies, then the children and my school."

Fortunately, our relationships will probably never hit their lows in public, but that doesn't mean they don't happen. There are plenty of ways to cheat, so if you dealt with it, tell us how long it was before you knew. And how long did you suspect it?

Heads up, people: WOMEN cheat, too! My wife cheated on me twice before we married and for more than two years after we married. I never knew about any of it because all her friends agreed not to tell me. My relationship was a lie for nineteen years. In the divorce, she got the friends.

I think he had been with his now wife for a year before I found out. But he must had been cheating on me for two years. He seemed so perfect that it was a surprise for everybody (people kept telling me they couldn´t believe it from him). I had to work hard to not notice it. I was his first girlfriend and we went out for 9 years. I kind of feel pity for his wife and their children when I hear now and then of his infidelities, but I guess his wife knew what she was buying. I was broken heart for a time, but then I met my husband and I think that I could have end up with him and I feel relieved, because I thought (before I knew about the cheating) that my relationship was good, but the relationship I have with my husband is much better.

I was in a relationship with a guy that cheated when I was in high school/early college. I did not find out for sure that he was cheating until after we broke up. I had my suspicions LONG before that that something wasn't right but instead of trusting my instincts I believed his lies. After we broke up all of our mutual friends came out and told me all about his philandering. I was like, thanks, why did no one feel the need to share what a creep he was EARLIER?!
