Edward vs. Jacob: Which Guy Is More Your Type?

You don't need to be a fan of Twilight to understand the difference between the two leading men (can we call vampires and werewolves men?). On the one hand, there's Edward — think of him as the sophisticated older man type. In fact, he's 108. If you go for introverted, devoted, and beautiful men, Edward's your type of guy. Then we have Jacob, the good-natured hunk. Jacob's the extrovert with a sense of humor who knows how to have fun. Which type of guy would you rather date: the mysterious guy or the outgoing guy?

Edward is so romantic...can't get past Jacob's baby face or the anger issues! But how about Emmett's dimples and sense of humor :) But maybe Sugar should consider adding a Twilight page.

I hate Edward, him and Bella have the weirdest conversations "you're my only reason to live" you are so beautiful"-CONSTANTLY! AH! it's such a stupid unhealthy relationship. I agree with #30...but I definitely am a Jacob fan...he is clingy and desperate but he's positive and has more of a personality.

Omg...I'm dumb. I didn't even realize until just now from reading these posts that Cedric=Edward. Hahahha, wow. I totally vote for Cedric also. :) He's WAY sexier as Cedric. But to actually answer the question. I tend to go for the mysterious guy, but I shouldn't b/c the outgoing fun guy is the type I actually get along with.

I never understood the attraction to Robert Pattison and I don't have a so called type either. I'm all over the map when it comes to attraction. I think it's his bed head on steroids that really gets me. I voted Jacob because I like fun happy dudes.

Absolutely neither. I do enjoy the books for a not-so-serious read, but those characters (Jacob, Edward and Bella) are all appalling. I think their personalities suck. Bella is a co-dependent, self-sacrificing twit, that teenage girls can relate to for other reasons. Edward and Jacob are both extremely unhealthy, especially Edward who presents himself as the God among men. Jacob is the desperate, clingy guy. Both are abusive, definitely in the emotional sense. No one in their right mind would want a relationship like that. The women who do need to get a clue, and it really says something about your personality if you are constantly looking for an "Edward" or "Jacob". I like non-abusive, stable, adult, normal ass, non-douchebag. I'll take my boyfriend any day.

Staple, I love you. I would totally vote for Cedric! (And yes, he was hotter in my head then Robert Pattinson is). I can not STAND Twilight - and yes, I did read the entire first book. I made myself finish it and it was utterly terrible. Not only is it poorly written (how many times can she cram the word chagrin in there?!) but also the relationship between Edward and Bella is not something I would EVER want to portray as appropriate or desirable to a young girl. He's blatantly abusive, extremely controlling, and a pedophile. But oh wait! They didn't have sex until they got married, so that cancels out all that other stuff. omggZzz he luvsss herr!!1.

Neither. I find both highly offensive (especially Edward), and the entire series offends me as a woman and as a fan of vampires, mythology and good literature. All in all, I can't stand Twilight. So I'm choosing Cedric Diggory. He is the hawtness and is a Hufflepuff like me. And he was hotter in my imagination than he was when Robert Pattinson played him (though, I think clean cut Rob looks a lot better than scruffy slob Rob).

Edward Cullen, the character, is serious and old fashion because he is from 100 years ago don't forget..he has quite a few redeeming qualities as well, like manners and respect. She's the one that wants to jump his bones all the time and he resists. He aint that bad.

Read the books, don't understand the hype, but I said Jacob. A person like Edward is too old-fashioned and serious for me. I like my guys to be fun and outgoing.

The question is, what TYPE of guy you would rather date, mysterious and intense, or outgoing and fun-loving. Not specifically Edward or Jacob. So I don't feel it's too alienating to non-twilight fans.
