ETA bombs police barracks in northern Spain
A car bomb exploded Friday at a police barracks in Spain's northern Rioja region following a warning from the banned Basque separatist organization ETA, authorities said.
The blast at around 2:00 p.m. (1300 GMT) in the town of Calahorra caused extensive damage, but only one slight injury as the Civil Guard barracks and the surrounding area had been evacuated, said Jose Antonio Ulecia, Madrid's representative in the region.
