"We know the Spears family, particularly the parents. An asset that Britney and Jamie Lynn both have is a great and dedicated mother." — Dr. Phil in People Magazine in response to Britney Spears gone wild and her 16-year-old sister getting pregnant.

"Dedicated," maybe — but "great"? Didn't Lynne sell Jamie Lynn's sad story to OK! Magazine for a hefty sum? Yeah, I thought so.

If Dr. Swill was really interested in helping Britney, he would have jumped in a few years back, and not just when it became the international "hot topic" that it is today. And to try to make one of his shows out of this? Revolting. He should know better.

LOL @ Emma. Just because you COULD be pregnant at 16 years old doesn't mean you SHOULD be. That's irrational. That's like saying just because I COULD murder someone, I SHOULD.

Why did the chicken cross the road? DR. PHIL's answer : The problem we have here is that this chicken won't realize that he must first deal with the problem on 'THIS' side of the road before it goes after the problem on the 'OTHER SIDE' of the road. What we need to do is help him realize how stupid he's acting by not taking on his 'CURRENT' problems before adding 'NEW' problems.

I'm not sure about Lynne Spears' dedication, but clearly she has some issues with her parenting - and the book she was going to write would only have served as a what-not-to-do manual. Clearly Dr. Phil doesn't know as much as he would like people to believe...

Emma - and 14 is only 2 yrs from 16 and 12 is only 2 yrs from 14 ... if you look at it that way, it doesn't stop. That's why you have kids getting pregnant.
