Valentine's Day presents can be as ridiculous as a cuddle pillow or as thoughtless as a heart-shaped box of candy. But they can also be romantic, thoughtful, and really, really nice. I'd never deny a good gift!

Let's forget gift quality for now (we'll talk about that after Valentine's Day), and let's talk about whether you actually want or expect a gift on Feb. 14. A lot of women could not care less while others expect it like a birthday present. Which are you?

My husband and I always get each other a little something. So I do expect something based on past experience, but if he wanted to do something else I'd be cool with that. :)

I don't expect a valentine's day gift but it would be nice to receive something... Although, I find valentine's day very commercial. It's like the day in a year that remind people to buy something for their significant other to show their love. Urgh. Seriously, if you love someone, don't want until v-day to buy them a gift. You have to love them every single days!

Yes, my husband and I have been together for over ten years and he always gotten me something for Valentine's Day, so I have no reason to expect this year will be any different. Am I demanding a gift or will I throw a tantrum if I do not get anything? No.

I don't expect anything since I think v-day is overrated, but my boyfriend usually gets me a little something each year.

I don't expect a gift. I'll give one, because I love buying presents for people I love, so it's really just an excuse to do so. But it's sort of a silly holiday, I don't expect money to be spent on it.

I talked to my husband, expecting him to agree that we should not get each other a gift, but he really wanted to. So yes, I'm expecting one now, and I'll be making something for him, too. I am a very frugal person, and none of my hobbies cost any money at all.. and I also don't wear jewelry, so my husband said he likes that he can buy something for me on Valentine's day that I wouldn't buy for myself. alright, then!

Valentines is not a favorite holiday of mine. I'm glad I just started seeing someone (as in not even official), so it's early enough that we don't have to worry about the holiday.
