Do Tell: Your Worst Excuse

Have you ever said yes to a date because you didn't know how to say no? Dating is tough enough as it is, but when you regret saying yes in the first place, it just makes matters worse. As much as we hate to admit it, I am sure we have all reneged on a date at the 11th hour, so ladies, do tell, what is the worst excuse you have ever given to get out of a dubious date?

Okay so I went on a date once because I couldn't come up with no... we had a great time and ... WE ARE MARRIED seven years and running!! :) I heart him!

i always jsut said "no thanks". i remember one guy asking why and saying "i don't owe you an explaination". that pretty much killed his interest in me so my job was done :)

food poisoning is my go to excuse too... that or car trouble if i've used the food poisoning excuse on that person before...

To avoid a date I told a guy I had a boyfriend (false). It just so happened that we had a mutual friend - news to me. The mutal friend thought my excuse was HILARIOUS and told the guy I didn't have a boyfriend. I got out of the date though, right?

i try to use the truth whenever canceling a date with a guy or a friend but if they just won't take the truth, i usually say that i have a migraine because that can't be disproved and it really is debilitating. i do actually get these (not often, though) so it's verifible.

I haven't done it! I have never ducked out of a date with a guy :) But with some friends whom I'm not very closed to sure, i have used "i have a terrible period pain before!" i have said to a friend (whom i have had enough of her laziness) i have already arranged something else for that week with someone else (that was partially true anyway).

i've never given an excuse to get out of a date but i have used lame excuses to get out of work. for instance i used to use the food poisoning excuse quite a bit and then they wanted dr.'s notes. :(
