Do Tell: Would You Want to Live Forever?

The ability to live forever sounds really amazing. You'd never feel rushed or pressured because you'd have all the time in the world to do what you wanted and spend time with the people you loved. Imagine if on top of that, you could feel young forever, too. Your body wouldn't get wrinkly or old, and you wouldn't get sick. You'd be immortal and could enjoy all that life has to offer.

Then again, if you had an infinite amount of time to do as you pleased, do you think things would be as special as they are? Tell me, if you could, would you want to live forever?

I don't think I would. Right now, where I am in life, I totally want this to last forever. I am so happy and in love and secure and I don't want it to change!!!

you're totally right... things wouldn't be as special if you think you can do it all the time... now, am i the only person or people around me also? because i wouldn't want to see people die around me all the time. it's a depressing feeling to watch all your relatives and friends pass away :cry:... i wouldn't want to live forever...

Absolutley not, talk about a nightmare. Imageing never being able to rest, there never being an end; what happens if the human race dies out in billions of years and you're left on your tod in space floating alongside the remains of earth? Talk about Planet Of The Apes!I would also never want to outlive my loved ones imagine; bonding with people then them dying; hundreds of times over. You'd live like Jacob Marley!Yuk much? Ooh *shudders* no thanks!

oh marcie, i like that song :) no living forever for me. the pain of seeing loved ones die off would be too much for me to get any enjoyment out of "extra" years.

I would never want to live forever. Having lost my mom this year, I almost can't wait until I can see her and all of my lost loved ones again.

In the words of G.B.Shaw "Youth is wasted on the young." Of course I would live forever! I can't imagine how you would get bored with having to keep up with the changes in the world, which are bound to be even more rapid than they are now. Also, as far as losing old friends, make new ones. Discover the millions of lives you may have never before known. It's all about perspective. That and dieing scares the crap outta me.

I think living forever would be a very interesting experience.. you would also have no fear so you could do anything without being afraid that something bad would happen to you. Yeah it would be lonely, but there's a price for everything, right

I have so many things that I want to do in my life time, and while I wouldn't like to live forever. I would like it if I could live long enough to where I could do every thing on my list.

I can't think of anything less appealing than living forever.Especially now that I'm home for the holidays in Orange County and can see first hand what older women look like when they want to stay young forever. Ick.

Same same. I won't deny that I fear death but not as much as I fear living without the ones I love, watching them die one by one and quite frankly being bored for all eternity. :\Though I guess if you think about it you'd be like a living time capsule and that has to help the world leaders somehow right..?
