Do Tell: Who Do You Turn to For Advice?

Since I offer up daily advice to all of you, it's probably not a big surprise to know that my friends come to me for advice, too. But most of the time it's the little things they need help with: How do I answer this text? What do I wear on our first date? What does it mean that he kissed me on the cheek?. Talking through these dilemmas never gets old since I like being their go-to person! So do you have someone specific that you go to for advice? Maybe your mom gives you the best words of wisdom, or your best friend, your aunt, or your boyfriend — whoever it is, ladies do tell, who's your go-to person when you need advice?

I ask my mom and dad advice on EVERYTHING! They're so helpful and always have the best advice! I found that sometimes when I ask my friends for advice, they'll give me bad advice either because their morals aren't the best or because they are trying to benefit themselves. Like one time my friend told me to dump some guy and then she ended up going out with him the next week.

Almost always on my own. Hubby's a bit too much of an optimist and I learned long ago that a lot of my mom's advice makes no sense.

Oh, it always used to be my Dad. Now, I feel like I just don't want to bother him. He has enough on his plate, and I'm fine with that. :)

It depends on my problem. My go to people are...my husband, my Mom, my sister, and my best friend.

When my current boyfriend and I were broken up, I turned to my mom, my guy friends, one or two female friends and my aunt. Hell, I even read articles on ivillage and dearsugar. Now that we're back together, I go to him for everything. I usually don't want advice, I want to rant. He keeps me rational and tells me to keep my mouth shut when I get hot-headed.

For food, and household crap I call my mama For work, I just generally bitch...I don't want advice But about personal matters? Generally my cat.. She's an awesome listener.. And she helps me work through my problems by being the strong silent type..

I don't ask too many people for advice...I usually make my decisions pretty independently. But if it's something I'm really unsure of, I'll ask my husband, parents, or sister.

My Mom, definately. She has a certain wisdom and perspective that my friends my own age don't have. Also, she knows better than anyone my moods and insecurities, and how to circumvent them in order to really get through to me.

My friends, definitely... I'm not close with my siblings, and my mom just makes me feel bad about everything I do, as if everything was my fault, even though I don't control everything that happens.

I'm similar to Sun_Sun. Generally, I sort out my issues by myself. That's how I operate -- it's my nature. However, on occasion, when I'm at a crossroad, and truly unable to decide how to handle something, I would turn to my husband and/or my sister. They're both very good thinkers, and would help me sort out the situation. They may see something clearly that I did not. I would consider their input, and in turn, make a decision (sometimes my decision coincides with the decision they would have made, but sometimes it doesn't. But I definitely would consider their input).

For relationship advice, it's like this: my mom, a close friend of mine, my sisterIf it's something else, I'm sure my BF makes it into the mix. Like someone else, it would depend on the topic.

I go to my friends for advice on little things like what should I wear or the latest girl talk or whatever...but for the more serious issues I go to my dad since he listens to me and doesn't judge me or anything.

i dont want to sound full of myself, but i really trust and depend on my own intuition. im a careful thinker and never act on impulse, or react for the sake of reacting or drama. but usually if i want reassurance on my decisions, or if im reallly cofused i turn to my mom and/or my husband.

My mother gives me the best advice. But she also is the least objective, haha. All of her advice is a little one-sided, but that's her job. I pray about most things :pray:
