Do Tell: What Are Your Biggest Pet Peeves?

Since it's National Pet Peeve Week I want to know: what gets under your skin? (Hopefully, it's not commemorative weeks for random things like pet peeves!) I'll start you off with some of mine.

Emails that lack proper grammar and capitalization.
Friends who take long cell phone calls while we're hanging out.
Corner markets that charge me $.25 to use my credit card.
Getting my meal at a restaurant after everyone else has already eaten theirs!
People who stand in front of the bus entrance, making me have to force my way through them.
Fingernail clipping in public.
The airport security liquids rule.
Cable personalities who make mundane stories sound like the end of the world.
People who eat stinky food in tight quarters.

Pheeww! I feel better. Now tell me yours.

Grammar, smacking gum, chewing with an open mouth, any kind of repetitive noise, and mothers who do nothing about their screaming children in a public place.

- spitting in public - parents who let their kids wander freely in stores - call waiting - people who do not clean up after their dogs - talking on cell phones - while driving - loudly in public -

I'm really late to this conversation, but I have a few to add:-When a server at a restaurant calls me "hun." On more than one occasion I've been out to lunch with clients, who get addressed as sir or ma'am, and i get called "hun" or "sweetie." I don't need the fact that I'm young to be emphasized to people who are paying me for help, and I'm also 27, not 8.-Like some others have said, people who use "I'm just being honest/real/myself" as an excuse for rude/inappropriate/mean-spirited comments or actions.-When I shop at Target, the cashiers never ask if I want the receipt with me or in the bag. I want it in the bag, but they just stand there holding it out as I struggle to put my wallet away, locate keys, and collect my purchases.-People that talk about how busy, busy, busy they are. Most people are busy, whether they are single, have families, work, are looking for work, etc. Nobody gets a special cookie for being busy.Those are the things that really make me cringe!

-When people you just met share too much info about their personal life. (New co-worker told us about her entire childhood in the first week that she was here. It's just strange.)-When people believe that a new guy is THE ONE after 5 days. Personally, I think you need to know more about a person before you can say he's THE ONE. You might be able to say that he's a great match for you or that there's great potential. IDK, that's just my opinion.-When people text constantly when you're hanging out or watching a movie together. It's rude and makes you feel like crap.Probably a lot more, but those are the ones that come to mind right now.

Ok you're going on a walk, why don't you just go instead of taking the time to tweet or facebook it?IgnorancePublic belligerence, and vulgarity especially of people my own age (20's) and younger, you're not cool.Moaning and groaning about products being too expensive in the store, when something is too expensive for your don't gripe just don't buy it you don't need to tell the whole world you can't afford it.People who are way to sensitive, also with that people who don't understand sarcasm considering a lot of the stuff that comes out of my mouth is sarcastic.I hate texting talk and I hate it when companies use it to advirtise their product trying to market for the younger generation.

Ohh mannnn, there are sooo many!! The letter 'K' in a text really bothers me. Also when people push their beliefs on you. (GRR!!!) Sleazy men who hit on younger girls, whether its me or I'm watching someone get hit on. And like 558349589032530 more. :)

One major one is when someone is on there cell texting non stop. During movies or dinner, etc. But then when you call them they suddenly overcome their addiction and can't seem to get back to you for hours on end. Dumb. Oh yeah and also like snooky said, but its snow and ice here. You have to slow down when its bad out but then some people think they're invincible and fly past you. scary.

oh, one more. i'm vegan, so i hate when i order a salad at a restaurant that in the description on the menu says has just vegetables, and it comes out smothered in bacon bits. if it has bacon on it, put it on the menu!

I thought of one for me... when people exit an elevator, or get off an escalator, or even just as soon as they enter a store and they stop right in the line of traffic to talk, figure out where they're going, etc... move out of the line of traffic so people don't get hurt for goodness sake.

"shoppers who get into the express lane with 200 items in their cart" Ooooh yes! What's even worse is the cashier who lets them! In my short-lived retail career, I always had the hawk-eye for these customers. No way they were getting in my lane!
