Do Tell: What Song Did You Dance to at Your Wedding?

Songs like "At Last," "Unforgettable," and "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" are popular first-dance songs at weddings, and while I'm all for using a traditional love song as the first dance, I think stepping it up a notch is also a fun way to kick off the celebration. Though I don't think I'd have the nerve to do something like the couple below, I would be the first one on my feet rooting them on! So in the spirit of wedding season, do tell: What song did you dance to at your wedding?

I'm not getting married anytime soon, but I've had to compile many a music playlist for people's weddings, so I know I'd pick one of these:my favourite book - starssave room - john legend (my bff actually use this for her first dance, i've always loved it)1,2,3,4 - feist (before apple killed it!!)la mer - kevin kline (from french kiss - love it!)i'd definitely want something cheerful and upbeat rather than something slow and too romantic - it makes it easier for other people to join in 1/2 way through.and for the grand entrance:better together - jack johnsonjust like heaven / close to me - the curea beautiful night in oslo - billie the vision & the dancersaround the world 0 daft punk (haha)

dootsie, here's an idea if you want to invite people onto the dance floor. Let close friends and family know before hand, and then when you want people to start dancing, break away from your husband a bit and start waving people onto the dance floor to join you. Then when your close friends and family start dancing, others will follow.

Ha, I'm like Liss, our( by our I mean my husband and me) is a Nine Inch Nails song.. I'd still rock out to it at the wedding, but maybe later in the evening when everyone is asleep. But we didn't go for the big wedding so there was no dancing. I'd love to open with something fun, but my husband doesn't dance.

Is it bad to ask people to start dancing halfway through the first dance? The song my feller and I want is pretty long, and there's no way we're going to make everyone sit through the whole thing. At the same time, though, there's no way we're going to just cut it off--the end is the best!How would you even do that? Tell a select few people to get up on a particular cue or something?
