i met my best friend through school. we were in the second grade i was sitting alone on the playground she came up to me and sat next to me, we started talking and then we hit it off and we were friends until sixth grade when we lost contact

This is a great topic because me and my best-friend always talk about how we met. We met on BLACKPLANET!!! LMAO! If you guys dont know what that is, it's a dating website. No was was I really looking for anyone but I did it anyway. He sent me a "note" on there and we just went back and forth. We exchanged numbers and talked and just hit it off! I loved his accent (he had gone to school in NY so he had picked up the accent). When we met, I didnt feel like "chemistry" so I suggested we just try to be friends and 4 years later, hes the best person I've ever met! We've been through everything and I love him like my older brother! Great story in my eyes!

Wanna know something funny? Every really good friend Ive had/have was someone I hated when I first met them! LoLI met mine at school. I'd gone there already for a year, and he was a newbie. We were both freshmans, and we both liked the same kind of music, but that was where our similarities ended.He was overbearing, weird, and annoying.Ha I'd tell all this to his face too...wait I have! lol.Anyway, he actually asked me out and I tirned him down.2 or so months later, we became GREAT friends and he came out to me as gay!(does this mean i turned him gay??)Now we are very close, and tell eachother everything.I've told him things that I've told No OnE.And i realy trust him.Aww now im all sentimental. : )

One day I was having an awful day and all my "friends" were at parties and whatnot for the holidays. It was New Years Eve and I was home alone dealing with a lot of stress. I logged on to facebook to kill sometime and there was this guy online that I had been talking to occastionally for a few months now. We started talking. After a few moments and getting desperate I asked for his number and phoned him that very night. I vented for hours and he gave me advice on a lot of issues. After that we became "issue buddies", we figured that due to the distance between us we could openly talk about anything and anyone and it wouldn't get around and it was always a third party opinion. Eventually the friendship grew and he became my best friend and then boyfriend and now fiance.

I met my ex best friend in school one day because I loved her older brother. We had a lot in common so it was nothing like that at all. We have been friends off and on for 15 years now. She's into a party lifestyle but pretends that she's not and she does a lot of hurtful things when she's with a gu.

well, the only 2 girls i give the title of best friend to are my sisters. i have considered people my best friend in the past, but once i think of them that way, i obviously tend to think higher of them and expect more.. but the friendships usually end or fade out because i guess i expect too much? my sisters have always been there for me. we aren't afraid to be ourselves, in all ways possible! we aren't afraid to fight, but we make up too. because of this, i know them the truest and know they are the 2 people who would always be there for me no matter what. my other friend, who i don't call my best friend, but pretty much is.. i met her in college. she is a year younger than me school wise. she lives in the town next to me and i had a bunch of friends at the time from that town that i had also met at school. because of this, i had seen her a few times and hung out. later, i found out she was thinking about joining a sorority, so i invited her to come to one of my sororities events. she eventually joined. we eventually became roommates too and i never would have survived those 2 years in our apartment without her! it's great because right now, even though we have moved back home, she is still only about 2 miles away!

We met at school aged 13-14ish. I had just made a group of new friends, she was one of them, and we bonded over not wanting to play chasey like all the others did - we were too "matured" for that. Hah.

We actually had a lot of classes together throughout high school and we always made each other laugh in them. We also had the same group of friends, but we never hung out together. Senior year we only knew each other in this class with a bunch of sophomores in it, so we sat by each other and really talked that year. But it wasn't until I went away to college that we really became friends. The group of friends we had kind of diminished until it was only us two left, and eventually we found out we are exactly the same person and I probably would literally die without her...she gets me through everything and she's the only person I really tell anything to!! :)

We've had our ups and downs for sure, but I love her to death.3) I had known who he was since eighth grade, but we randomly starting hanging out in high school since we had lunch together and a ton of the same friends.. Plus I thought he was cute.. We spent the summer before junior year together and became best friends, but the whole dating thing didn't work out. We just didn't have any chemistry. Oddly enough, I've been dating his cousin for almost two years now..

I first met him during lunch one day my first year of college we both just sort of hit it off but didn't really think anything of it, until he was seated next to me during English class. We goofed off and chatted and laughed that whole semester. I don't think we learned anything in that class-lol but it was the best class I ever had! Since then he's transfered to a different school but we still keep in touch whenever we can and we still visit each other.

my best friend's mom and dad and my mom and dad were friends before the two of us met. but when she was 3 she was diagnosed with diabetes and my mom took me to the hospital to go play with her. we've been best friends ever since...she came to visit me every day when i was in the hospital with a broken neck when i was 12, and we were maids/matrons of honor at each others weddings. now she's living in austria and i can't wait to go visit her!

Keri and I have known eachother for longer than either of us can remember.. it was nearly 20 years ago! I'm on my way to being 22, & she is 21 on this coming Tuesday.. Keri and I lived across the street from eachother for about 12 years or so..we were together daily up until I was 17. I was sent clear across the country- while she stayed behind. Keri and I have not seen eachother in 4 years and still have managed to be there for eachother- thru thick and thin... never judging- always loving one another no matter what life throws our way. Keri isn't just my bestfriend.. she's my sister, my soul mate... my other half.

we met at camp...and we have been best friends for 25 years..we have lived in different countries and cities and still manage to talk almost every day. we are going to be two little grannies rocking in our rocking chairs watching the grand children some day! best friends are great!!

i met her at freshman orientation for college. they grouped us by last name (we at the time were both "c"'s) and everyone else was really quiet but her and i were chatting up a storm like we'd known each other forever. by the end of the 'scavenger' hunt we realized we were like the city/country version of the other one. it was pretty funny when the two blabber mouths couldnt shut up at 8:30 am haha
