Whether you're a blonde, a brunette, or a redhead, you definitely have stereotypes associated with your hair color. People joke that blondes are ditsy, but they also apparently have more fun. So ladies, do tell: Do you fit the stereotype of the color hair you have?

Im a natural blonde (with dark eyebrows) and have had red hair and now I always go with a dark brown. I dont notice any change Although when I was kid I was picked on by this mena snot nose kid who would pull my blonde hair and say blonde are dumb :oy:

It's about your general appearance and attitude, not just about hair color. I'm naturally blonde, though people never make 'blonde' comments about me and are never surprised to see me act 'not according to my haircolor' because of my attitude and general appearance. I have a BSc in astrophysics and I'm currently studying aerospace engineering, and people are more often surprised to hear that i'm studying this because I'm female, rather than because I'm blonde. (And they're surprised not because they think that girls aren't smart, but because it's true that there are few women in these areas of expertise.) It's really about the way you present yourself. If you see yourself as a 'ditzy, blonde bimbo', than so will other people. If you act seriously, then people will take you seriously.

I don't know - I dye my blonde hair red so what does that make me? I think I did have more fun as a blonde, and maybe I am a bit more fiery as a red head. I guess in all fairness I should dye my hair brown and see what happens maybe I'll finally buckle down and get serious.

My hair is naturally a very light brown/dirty red-blonde kind of color, but the natural color hasn't seen the light of day in a very, very long time. I used to dye it red a lot, and now I do a dark brunette. Both of the stereotypes for red and brunette sort of fit me, though.

I was born a blonde, then I darkened, and I've been dying my hair since I hit puberty back. And no, I don't fit the stereotypes. I think people who buy into the dumb blonde idea are either intimidated of our hawtness or just plain ignorant. DearSugar, we could be talking about things that bring women together, not things that encourage stupidity and competitiveness among our sugarphiles.

I'm kinda unclear on the stereotypes about brunettes, but isn't it that we're all intelligent, moderately serious and have it all together? well, I think I'm intelligent, but I'm always joking. And I'm the most disorganized person I know. I'd probably be better off as a blonde. lol.
