Do Tell: Do You Dress Sexy or Demure on Halloween?

i usually try to dress somewhere in the middle... or maybe wear something thats a little shorter or shows off the ta-ta's a little more. last years costume i was probably the most covered up i had been in a while, but i was with my boyfriend, and didn't want to be disrespectful at the parties we were going to haha. but i did wear a sexy nurse and a evil pixie outfit the years before (that were probably a size too small) hahaha

I dress kind of in the middle. Liek my costume this year was long sleeved...it was short, but I wore opaque tights that were black underneath so no one could see anything!
Pretty much, all I had, was clevage!!!
And I liked it, there were LOTS of skanky dressed chicks, and I was happy to not be one of them!

in the middle!!.. i guess the sluttiest thing about my costume this year was this is was kinda short in the front.. but not really.. not cleavage nothing!.. but let me tell you.. i saw a lot of sluttyness at the bar! haha.. slutty butterfly.. slutterfly! lol slutty nurse, slutty cop, slutty fireman.. slutty EVERYTHING!.. and i mean its not bad.. but its not for me.. i still got just as much attention if not more then the rest of the slutty ladies lol.. and i was totally covered up! but don't get me wrong! i bet all eyes were on them while they were up on the tables shakin what their mamma's gave them!! haha

i don't dress sexy on halloween, i never have. its usually too cold anyway! i've never had trouble coming up with a costume that i love, and i just really don't like any halloween costume that can be termed "slutty".

I admit I do like to have fun with my "slutty" costumes on halloween. hey, I can't dress like that on a normal day for fun, so why not do it on the one night a year that people don't give a crap that you look like a tramp? LOL

I haven't done anything REALLY bad though~ I've been a mobstress (pinstripe outfit, fedora, etc)...a piratess...a couple other things. This year I might be a hooters girl (my friends old work outfit LOL) OR as my backup outfit if I can't get that hooters uniform, a Japanese school girl (short skirt, cardigan, leg warmers)...

I am so sick of the sexy nurse, the sexy witch, the sexy bunny, the sexy vampire, etc. GET CREATIVE PEOPLE! I have a friend who got together with two other girls to be "Sex, Drugs, and Rock'n'Roll." SO GREAT! Another one of her friends went as Conan O'Brien. I wanted to go as a pregnant Christina Aguilera and make my boyfriend be Jordan Bratman (how easy is that costume?) but we aren't going to costume parties this year. oh well. there's always next year!

I can't really do the sexy thing with my costumes. I go out trick or treating on for a university food drive for the campus food bank (it's a good natured competition with Assiniboine Community College to see which campus can collect the most food, and it's advertised on the radio, we've got name tags and little handouts, so people know what we're doing). I'm lucky there isn't snow on the ground this year!

I like to mix it up!

I no longer dress up at all unless we have a party to go to, but I don't think I ever went deliberately for sexy or for demure. We went for what we wanted.

The last time I dressed up was in 1998. I was Monica Lewinski in a blue dress, beret, and knee pads. My husband was Bill Clinton in a dress shirt, tie, and boxers.

this year my boyfriend is going as michael vick and i'm going as a dog (with blood and a gold ribbon). I'm probably going to go somewhere down the middle... show some cleavage or leg but not both. i'll probably show off the chi chis.

I try to dress funny and creative.

Ehhhh...i've done the slutty thing and i don't know...it lost its appeal to me. I feel that there's a certain pressure of "you HAVE to dress like a slut!" on Halloween and i'm not down with that anymore. I feel like its degrading and it stifles creativity.

I'm a bit short on $$$ this year so i'm going to go as the "Flashdance" girl. It cost me less than $10 to buy the necessary supplies!

My handmade costume is modest but very flashy. I'm dressing as my favorite singer, who has a fondness for sequin-covered French-aristocrat-meets-Broadway outfits. The costume is a modest coat and pants set, but that coat is made of brocade and has about $200 worth of sequin appliques, braid, and a feather collar. If I just wanted to be sexy, I'd put on a little dress and go clubbing. But it's not every day that I have an excuse to wear 10 lbs of spangles and crystals.

I wear a striped sock on my shlong, run around in circles waving my arms in the air and yelling:" I'm a red hot chilli pepper!"

Not too slutty - I was Wonder Woman this year. Short skirt, but the top was pretty modest. Not that I have any cleavage to fill out a top anyway...

I dressed up as a video game character when I went to a party on Friday. I'd say it was more of a mix between the two.

I dunno.. What's considered slutty? Im going to one this thursday and im planning on being an angel.. Just a white short skirt and quite a small top with heels.. I dont dress funny.. but i wouldnt say completley 'slutty'.

I'd say I'm right in the middle. Never slutty. lol! Not that I'm knocken it, but I just wouldn't feel comfortable.

I suppose not sexy at all, b/c this year I'll be a MALE Cabaret person. Woot!

I have to say that people that say it's the only time they can get away with dressing in the "sexy" little outfits are just saying that because they lack a bit of creativity. B/c really you CAN wear outfits like that anytime, maybe not so much out, or at all out, but for a little playtime.

i dress up as either scary or funny/culturally relevant (this year i was planning on being tammy faye bakker). i HATE slutty costumes--they are so stupid. what's the point?

Haha, my friend thinks the whole "Slutty ________!" phenomenon is ridiculous. Like, people will be slutty ANYTHING. so to semimock it she went as "Slutty Abraham Lincoln!" She did short shorts and fishnets and a wife beater, top coat, and BEARD. hahah.

Yeah, the skanky costumes are getting alot of attention this year. I think it really just lacks an imagination.

Anyway, this year is the first time I've dressed up in years...going as a teenager from the 50's with a poodle skirt and my old letterman's jacket from high school. Spent a total of $15 on the whole costume

I've always been pretty modest: 2 years ago, I was a she-devil (red strapless dress that was knee-length, barely any cleavage plus horns and pitchfork). A year ago, I was a geisha (kimono that came down to the ankles) and this year I was a British schoolgirl (I had my old prep school tie, white button-down and a fairly short skirt).

I go for something FUN. Sometimes a little spicy but nothing overtly slutty.

Btw, I don't mind the "sexy" costumes, say if you're Elvira or Adam & Eve (great costumes in the Looks area). But I find stuff like sexy Oompa Loompa tacky. Hey, that's actually a good one!

well, i'm in college so the past two years have def been more slutty haha... but this year was just cute- i was marie antoinette- a homemade costume with a huuuge white curly wig- so cute

I like to be definitely sexy, but at least creative with it. This year I was a sexy gangster, it was AWESOME! The fedora, short matching skirtsuit, and the cigarette holder...it was awesome! If you're gonna go totally slutty, at least make it something different!

yeah, i am kind of over the whole slutty thing in general, not just for hallowe'en, but i am aware there are a whole lot of people who aren't!! I like my sexy to be tasteful.. like if I am showing some cleave, then the rest of me will be covered, and vice-verse with the legs. This year I am going as Mrs. Mia Wallace (courtesy of fab ), so there will be some tasteful breasts, and a full red mouth, but that's it..

sexy, slutty, skanky. i'm 19 and halloween is the perfect excuse to dress sexy. friday and saturday i was a nurse; super super short skirt, knee-high go-go boots and the front zippered up. then i split my chin open soo tomorrow i'm going to be a sexy bee! last year i was minnie mouse and a schoolgirl, but both very conservative versions.

My only problem is that it is so impossible to find a Halloween costume for a female that is not a sexy or slutty costume. I hate it, I don't have anything against people who want to dress sexy, but it is so ridiculous that its assumed that that is what we should wear. I like making my own costumes, but sometimes you just don't have time.
Also what about bigger girls, how awful it must feel to try and find a great costume when all of the stores only carry ones that if you don't have a good stomach or breasts make you look like a stuffed sausage.
