The Strokes lead singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Julian Casablancas has a new solo album coming out in early November called Phrazes for the Young. Early reviews are promising, which warms the cockles of my heart, because I love it when the guys I'm crushing on are sexy and talented.

The son of Elite Model Management's Jon Casablancas and Danish model Jeanette Christiansen, Julian inherited his parents' beauty and his dad's business savvy. Does Julian rock your world? What do you think of this pale, brooding musician?

God I love him! He's gorgeous even when he's stoned, drunk, and hasn't taken a shower in a week. Plus he's talented with a great sense of humor. I printed out a photo of him and I kiss it every night and talk to him. No I'm not crazy...or am I?

He's a neurotic tortured F@&*^d up artist poet, a very beautiful lost boy in need of a hot meal and a hot shower and a hotter bed and a safe place to stay for awhile... guys like julian are my life's weakness/calling and i've managed over time to understand and even embrace it. the artists/musicians (some famous, some not so famous) that have wandered into my collection over the years all bear something that taps deeply into a well of nurturing, maternal instinct in me, even though i realized long ago that i have no desire to have children!

that is an awful picture of him. he is wayyyy cute in the video for reptilia and you only live once. and just because you've never been exposed to the strokes doesn't mean they're not good.
