It was the Summer of 1987, exactly 25 years ago today, that Patrick Swayze danced his way into Baby's heart and ours with the release of Dirty Dancing. Besides being about a steamy Summer romance, this classic '80s coming-of-age flick pushed some mainstream movie boundaries by including an illegal abortion as a major plot point. Writer Eleanor Bergstein's decision to keep the abortion in the movie even cost them a major corporate sponsor, Clearasil. The way the film handled that as well as the familial relationships and friendships made us like it all the more — with the soundtrack and one-liners as the icing on the cake. So in honor of its 25th anniversary, check out some of the best lines on life and love from Dirty Dancing!
