While I wouldn't trade an adult relationship for the crushes I had in high school, there's something sweet and exciting about youthful lust and love. We met when I was in grade 9. I normally took the school bus home, but I randomly felt like taking the transit that day. He normally got a ride, but sometimes his dad can't make it on Fridays. I was looking straight, he said hi. I thought he was so handsome. We hardly talked, turns out we had 3 classes together. We talked everyday. Then the year afterwards we didn't have any classes together, so then we talked on msn. We still talked everyday, for six hours, non stop. Now I really really like him. I don't know what to do..

Oh, yes. We were so in love that we couldn't see anything else. He was not my first boyfriend. He was my first love, and I was his. We dated for a year and broke up in college. Worst mistake I ever made. Now, after 30+ years, we have reconnected and are again inseparable. It seems like those years, while important parts of our lives, do not matter between us. True love is an amazing thing.

Absolutely. Dated all through High school. We ended up bumping into each other again 20 years later. The funny thing is, even though time has taken its toll on us, we still can see the teenagers in each other and it seems as though the attraction is still there, been there all along I guess. We went out and had lunch together and it was so relaxing and enjoyable and I walked away feeling like that same teenager from 21 years ago.

Yes. And met back up with him 20 years after we broke up. yeah facebook?!?! And now it's like.. like we wasted 20 years apart. But that time allowe dus to come back together. We shall see where it goes the second time around, but the love is there.. always was. He may be the most special person in my life ever.... sure seems that way.

yeah I had one my junior year looking back I was so young and nieve...but I was in love then and we ended so childishly after 9 months it left me confused and then its like he dissapeared. He was never around his senior year. I still think about seeing him again to this day and what it would be like. Maybe my 10 year reunion? Although I have a boyfriend...just curiousity....

I had boyfriends in high school but they weren't high-school sweethearts. I never dated any of them consistently for longer than a month and never went to prom with them so like definitely not high school sweetheart status.

Not really.. going to an all girls school, we didn't really get much opportunity to properly get to know many boys of the same age... a shame really!

Nope. I had a college sweetheart but I don't think any of my high school relationships lasted past 2 months. I learned a lot about dating then.

Nope - I was that awkward nerdy girl who was pretty but somehow all the guys were intimidated by me. I never even got asked out on a date until I was 19 and out of highschool. Never went to a school dance, had a kiss, or a date in highschool.Made up for it in college.

I have been with my wonderful boyfriend since the eleventh grade,but we were besties before that. It has been six years now, and I can only see myself with him forever.I believe that if our love has changed its only become stronger. Hes my one person that there is complete comfortable silence with, and that one person that makes you wish life was just longer than it is so that you can have more and more time with them.

Oh, I'm all oohy gooy about it but yes I did and we got married. We were together for 3 years, he being two years older than me, so basically the whole high school time. He joined the military and we lasted for a couple years with that until we got married when I was 19. 3 years later we're fantastic, and haven't ever been happier. I get all gushy and my face gets that dreamy look when I talk about the "high school sweetheart" part of our relationship because I'm a romantic comedy type of girl.

I'm currently with my high school sweetheart. We got together our senior year, and we've now been together going on 3 years. Hopefully many more to come.

Yep. Dated between junior and senior summer and it went through most of college. Glad I experienced that, but even happier it has ended. Now I can move on and date someone more mature.

yes - i actually dated two guys in high school, the second one i finally married last may after 10 years together...we even made it through long-distance college years...when i think back on all we've been through, it's crazy...we learned we could be independent, yet still rely on each other for support...love him :)

I'm not sure I'd consider him my high school sweetheart, since we never dated for that long... We met in 10th grade, started dating in 11th grade, broke up after 4 months and started dating again about a year later. And we broke up again before going to college. Although it wasn't what you'd consider a serious relationship, we had a lot of fun together and I learned a lot from it.

Yes, I did. It was for a little over 2 years, but once we were in college things just didn't work out. We both wanted to see what else was out there - and I'm glad because if we hadn't broken up I wouldn't have met the love of my life!!
