A song can take you back to a time and a place, just like that. Whether it was your first slow dance or the song that was playing when you first locked eyes with your future husband, hearing a few mere notes can be powerful and emotional.

More Than Words - Extreme. My huge crush in HS sang that song to me over the phone once. So cheesy, but I loved it! Gotta also agree with In Your Eyes though. I want my Lloyd Dobbler.

"Como Fue" by Beny More - its an old Cuban standard but soooo good. the lyrics are so simple yet profound "I'm in the mood (for a melody)" by Robert Plant - it's so unlike anything he ever did with Zeppelin and this is probably the only song of his i like in his solo career, but it always makes me feel like slow dancing on a tropical island "Us and Them" by Pink Floyd - my bf and i kept hearing it everywhere we went this one month so it has a special place in our hearts. :)

Radiohead's Creep. I know that it isn't a love song, but I pined away for this sexy drummer in high school. We finally got together in college and he taught me the drum rythym to this song. One of the best nights ever!

"I Can't Help Falling in Love With You" by Elvis. My bf and I were a new couple and dancing at a wedding when they started playing that song. There was a palpable chemical reaction from both of us during that dance, and it was full steam ahead from that point on. Now I get tears in my eyes when I hear it.

Well, it is not "our" song, but I love the way the Indigo Girls describe the meaning of love in "Power of Two." I don't think it is terrible well known, but it has a lovely message.
