Even if you aren't a lingerie girl per se, a bra is mandatory if you're at all endowed in the chest area! Of course, women come in a myriad of sizes and shapes, but Glamour magazine has come up with the average woman's bra size. Can you guess what it is?

Haha Rockandrepublic - try being a natural 34 G! You heard me. 3-4-G. The cups runneth over in my family. I haven't been able to shop at Victoria's Secret since 11th grade. I buy my bras from specialty lingerie stores and make sure I take extra special care of them since they're already taking on a stressful load! I'm waiting anxiously for the day my insurance will cover a reduction. I'd love to have more options in shirts, dresses, and bathing suits.

Jeniffer777, and Nikki90 you can get them not in normal stores no but in little european shops. Ive never bought one online because its too hard to fit, but its impossible to find in chain stores a bigger size. But look for specialty shops and theyll have them there:) (sometimes even cute!) and Popgoestheworld, DUDE! Thats not even true! Im not obese at all, i weigh 123 pounds or 56 kilos, and i am a natural 32 F. So its not just because you're obese, theres girls out there like me and nikki who just cant help it (and reduction surgery sounds horrible:O)

Growing up I was a 30C, which was a bit awkward as I was very skinny and my chest looked rather fake. I worked as a child model until the agency accused me of getting implants - at 14! Who does that?! For the past year of so I've been wearing 32B or 32C depending on the cut of the bra, and I'm more than happy with that. :) Proportionate at last!

I always thought i was a 36c but last year i went for a proffesional fitting and they were like...nope you are a 34D gggrrrr so now i have to spend a little more effort into finding the right bras xD Got the question spot on right though :)

Uhhh hate to say it but the bigger boob sizes says a whole lot more than you think. The average is getting bigger because we as women are getting bigger. . . all over and sometimes its not a good thing

i'm pretty sure that it's obesity that's caused this drastic increase in breast size. i agree, diana, it would be interesting to have data about average breast size for "normal" women. and it's sad... i'm at a 33B (I usually buy 34B and have it on the tightest hook), but my boyfriend has bigger boobs than me!!! HAHA. well, not BOOBS... but his pecs are HUGE and he teases me that his are bigger than mine! :-P

I feel like this data is incorrect because of the obesity epidemic in our country. If you mean the average of women in a normal weight-zone, then OK, but talking about every woman in the country is a stretch.

Hi all of you 32 C-D girls! I'm also in between there somewhere and Calvin Klein bras are amazing! You can usually find them in Macy's or Lord & Taylor's. I also always had problems with VS, the 32 C is sooo small that my breasts just overflow (so unattractive), but I think Calvin Klein bra's and also DKNY ones come a bit larger than VS ones so they fit much better. You can also look into Elle Mcpherson bras, and although a bit more pricey, they are great for in between 32 C and D girls since they run a bit smaller than DKNY and Calvin Klein. Also, to the VS girl, every time I'm measured there, the people lie about my band width (I'm technically a 31 and they tell me I'm a 34) and the reason why the "sister bra" thing doesn't work is because the 34 is usually waaay too big and doesn't hold the boobs in place at all (the straps also tend to be too long).
