For me, the feeling of being out of control is one of the worst feelings in the world. I wouldn't call myself a control freak per se; I just don't like surprises! Unfortunately, some people view control freaks in a negative light— calling them power trippers and know-it-alls — but I don't consider it a personality flaw in the slightest. Control freaks get the job done, and they are perfectionists who always have their Ts crossed and their Is dotted — what's so bad about that? So ladies, where do you fall in the control department? Would you consider yourself a control freak?

Boots
im not a control freak in that sense
1i dont like to tell other people what to do... i definitely dont want to control my husband
but when it comes to things i have to do or things that are my responsibility, im borderline a perfectionist that way (self control)
Sun Sun, I couldn't have said it better myself.
2...meant to add that I'm over the top with it, when it comes to work related things. However, I have managed to be a lot more relaxed at home.
3
see, i knew u could have said it better
4I agree with Sun_Sun. I don't try to control other people, only the things I can do.
5I'm half-half. There are definitely times when I'm a psycho.
6I'm a perfectionist, and I can't stand to have my work or effort lumped in with others'. That's why I play tennis, not basketball. I'm not a team player! Forced "group work" in college always drove me crazy, because I hated for my grade to depend on other people, so I always ended up doing most of the work myself anyway, just to ensure an A.
7The most meaningful life lesson I've absorbed so far is that you can't control everything, you can only control how you react to what comes your way. It is so much more relaxing to not try to be in charge all the time. My relationships (significant others, friends, family members) have vastly improved since I figured this out.
8this only reminds me of monica gellar during phoebe's wedding when she was maid of honor. LOL! it's probably my fav. episode of friends; now SHEs a control freak
9Nope, I used to be a control freak until I realized I couldn't control everything and just let go.
10Seriously, I'm one of the biggest control freaks out there, I'll bet.
But I am trying my hardest to get a handle on it...it's probably part of the reason that my family and I are getting some counseling at the moment (along with other
things). I think a lot of it comes from my stubborn self being too full of pride to ask for help...if that makes any sense...
11No, I'm way too laid back to be a control freak.
12I don't think I'm a control freak but I am not a fan when things in my life are up in the air. I don't like the stress.
13Well said, ufshutterbabe. Control freaks have such a negative energy, I prefer to steer clear. Be like a cheerio in milk - let it flow through you and around you. Ommmmmmmmmm.
14Control freaks drive me crazy.
15I would give anything to be a laid back person. But I just can't help it. I usually don't have a problem though because everyone around me knows that I am completely nuts when it comes to being a control freak and they all trust me with everything and they kind of sit back relax and let me do my thing.
16There is NOTHING I CANNOT CONTROL!!!!!!
17I wish i wasn't controlling. I think i try to control my husband way too much, but i really can't help it. I don't try to control my friends though.
18I have never thought of myself as a control freak until several ex's told me that I am. I still don't think I am, I chalk it up to my ex's being completly worthless and if anything was going to get accomplished it was going to be because of me.
19The only time my control freakishness really comes out is when I am flying on an airplane. I would give anything to know how to fly a plane to ensure we make it there safely!!! (Oh and that the landing is smooth too
)
20I guess I am to an extent, but only with my own life and things that involve me. I don't try to control others and manipulate situations in my favor or anything along those lines.
