Dear Poll: Would You Go Out Again if He Didn't Call?

Being single can be hard, and dating can be tough, tiring, and oftentimes hard on the ego. I am sure we have all been there - you go on what you think is a great date, you end it with a good night kiss, he says he's going to call you and low and behold, you never hear from him!! What's up with that?? Of course the initial blow stings, but eventually, you get over it. But what happens when you run into that guy again after your wound heals and he asks you out again. Would you give the guy another chance if he admitted that he was wrong and stupid for not calling? Would you run the risk of history repeating itself or would you be stubborn and politely tell him, you snooze, you lose buddy!

No way! I've never gotten a no-caller ;) and I'm not about to give some less enthused guy a chance over someone who obviously wants me more!

I think women sometimes overthink things. I'd give the guy a chance.

Sure. Other things would factor in, but not calling alone wouldn't automatically rule out a guy.

I'd like to think I'd say no, because I fear junebrug is right about men, but if I really liked the guy I'd probably be a sucker and say yes.Damn. Being single is not just hard, it's brutal!

I would give another chance if I thought there was a possibility of it working out, but I would make it clear that I won't be as forgiving the next time.

Men regularly test women and this is one of the ways. Men like to see how much they can get away with. The guy who doesn't call knows what he did was wrong. If a woman doesn't give a man who has clearly done wrong any s***, he thinks she's a doormat. I'm sorry to say 8/10 times, he's just trying to stroke his ego. And sadly that call won't be coming -- again. Saying yes makes you a doormat and a doormat ain't sexy. In fact, he's far more likely to call, as well as offer an apology, if you say no.Yes, there are exceptions, for instance, he took your number because he liked you and was breaking up with his gf but didn't think it was right to move forward with you until the break up was official, but then felt like he'd waited too long. Or he just got hired for a 70-hour a week job. Or his gramdother died. Or he got abudcted by aliens. But that's 2/10 ladies. It should be pretty clear when you talk to him if he's completely sincere. But if he doesn't look thrilled out of his pants to see you again and doesn't apologize at least twice (without you saying a word about it), be smart and let a dog lie.

I want to say that I should give him a second chance, but I'm leaning towards only-one-chance-to-score idea. So yea, but I would consider it though if he gave me a good impression on the first date.

well i doubt he would really call if he blew you off the first time, so i wouldn't believe him and would say i wasn't available. and i wouldn't want to go anyway.
