Dear Poll: When Was Your Party Phase?

Most people have a party phase, a time in their lives when they take a lot of risks, forget about consequences, and are generally a bit out of control. Certainly many young Hollywood stars seem to be in the midst of theirs right now. While the rest of us don't live such glamorous lives, I'd bet that most of us have had a party phase of our own.

Maybe it was all about drinking or sex or doing drugs — maybe even all three — but either way, it's a wild time that most people, with a little hindsight, are glad to have behind us. Mine was definitely a high school thing, and I was burnt out by the time I got to college. What about you? When were you at your wildest?

really my phase lasted in two spurts 16-18 and then 23-24 im 26 now go out with friends after work for drinks but no really wild party's these days most of my friends are married and have children, and i will be joining that in about 4 months and that for me is going to be a party.

om man...i partied a lot between 14-16. i honestly don't remember a lot!!! i am 26 now and married, but i still party a little...just more of a chill kind now

I said 19-22, but it was more like 21-22. When I turned 19, legal age where I live, I partied alot with a girlfriend of mine, but I was always the DD. When my boyfriend of 2.5 years broke up when I was 21, I went definitely crazy. It's pretty much ended when I met my now husband. Now that I'm married and settled down, I'm very happy to be at home with my husband watching a movie, or grabbing drinks with friends instead of the bars/clubs.

I never had a party phase. I never smoked or did drugs. I don't like alcohol -- just can't stand the taste and smell -- so I don't drink, either. I don't regret not ever partying. It's not my thing.

I didn't pick any because I partied when i was about 17-20 then got into a relationship. When i became single again I partied again and now again im in a relationship so stopped partying so much....

I was a late bloomer... never drank til late college, never had sex until I was off my parents' dime (22). But oh boy, the independence sparked a wild phase from 22-26.

I had a lot of fun when I was 19 & 20 but I have never been a party girl. Laughing at drunk people is way more fun then being one of them!

Ah yeah, I was one of the 36 people who voted, what phase? I'm still partying! I started partying when I was 16, ten years ago. Being that I'm PartySugar I'm still partying...

I don't "party". I have physical issues that make it difficult for me to tolerate a lot of alcohol, and anyways, it just makes me sleepy. I've never had an interest in drugs either, and all of my friends are hilarious,etc. without being drunk. a lot of the stuff we like to do anyways would kill us if we were intoxicated. lol.

I wasnt actually partying, but the young, bad days of my life were from 11-14. I do NOT miss those days, thank god im over it.

I said 19-22, but it really did start earlier. I got in trouble for drinking more than once in high school. I definitely started to party and drink around 14. But for me it feels like two separate party phases, the high school one and the college one. In college I also started hooking up with guys, and I never did that in high school, so college sort of seems wilder even though the drinking thing was kind of old news for me by then.

Then, i would go clubbing 3 times a week, drank so much, i dunno how i got home and turn up for uni lectures the next day. I miss those days. so carefree, and everything is so new and fun.

19 - 22, and even 23-24. wild days wild days. :)

I was pretty into it around 18-19, but it died off when when my friends stopped wanting to go out. Then in the last year, I've had new friends and I'm back. I'd say the last 3 months or so it's probably been the craziest.Breaking up with my boyfriend & then have him move on to another girl probably didn't help, lol.

I'll be 20 in a couple months and my party phase has been going pretty solidly since I was about 15 or so.

I'm 25, and married, and I go out more now than I did in college or in the past few years - probably because I've recently moved to NYC, and so many of my college friends are here, and we all hang out often, and... it's just so convenient and easy for an innocent bottle of wine with dinner to end up with a wild and crazy night. (My trainer, even though I'm 110 lbs and really fit, just told me that "I am going to give you more crunches, because I know you drink a lot of wine, and I don't want it to start showing." I just laughed and laughed at her.)

I'm only 16 and I pretty much already know I'm not a partier (I might have to wait til college to REALLY say that, but I'm pretty sure I won't change :)) Every time I hear someone at school blab about how wasted they were, I just think about how stupid and immature they are being. I would rather go out to dinner with 2 or so good friends and just talk--I love a good conversation.

18-22. I partied a little too hard on my 22nd birthday and decided I had partied enough. Plus, I had just graduated college and started working, so partying was hard to do. Worked out well because when I met my now DH, I had got all the partying out of my system and was ready for a relationship.
