Dear Poll: What Would Make You Give Up Sex?

Who doesn't love having sex? I think it's pretty fair to say that most people do, but what would you do if you were forced to give it up forever?? Gasp, I know! But if that was your reality, what would you demand to have in return for living a sexless life?

Definitely a lifestyle change... such as seeking a religious life... would be the only reason I would give up sex. But not completely give it up! No sex til after marriage of course haha. Luckily Protestant pastors/ministers/reverends can get married. :)

Sometimes I joke around that I would love to trade places with my cats, and just live my life napping, being pampered, and having my every need attended to. The only thing is, they're neutered - so no sex! They do cuddle like crazy, though. :)

hmm...I think that religious beliefs (either those of yourself or your partner) should be a choice here.I would definitely give up sex for true love, or if my partner strongly believed that sex before marriage was morally wrong.

i sort of gave up sex for the last half year cos we were long distance.. but right now i couldn't imagine being physically near my bf and not being able to have sex. i guess i'm just too horny. 6 months will do that to ya! :P

my boyfriend of 1 1/2 years and i are abstaining from sex until marriage and he even said, 'it doesn't mean i love you any less, but we're not really ready for it at this point' which i totally agree. it's nice not having that pressure and getting to know the different things about him. i think i learn so much more from him daily. i don't think that i would want to have a sexless life, but i definitely don't mind what is going on right now :)

I said true love. Has anyone ever tried the "give up sex completely for a while so you can focus on other parts of your relationship" thing? I'm doing it, and its amazing. It really makes you realize why you love your bf/gf, as in, an emotional not physical way. Because (at least I think) isn't that the most important part of a relationship. When your old and sex isn't so important anymore, what will be left? hopefully that emotional relationship. Sorry to rant a little, lol, I just LOVE having that emotional love/cuddliness without the sexual part at all, between us. Its super amazing. :-D
