Dear Poll: If They Weren't Famous...

There are so many celebrities out there that look like the girl next door or your best friend's older brother, so why are they considered Hollywood heart throbs or beauties? Of course with a little makeup and a lot of styling, anyone can look like a star, but what I want to know is, would you look twice at some of these recognizable names if they weren't famous?

I voted no, but a celebrity like Cary Grant, were he not a celebrity, would have <I>definitely</I> made me turn my head back in the day. If I was around back in the day, that is. But mainly because he was suave, dapper, and gorgeous, not because of the "star quality".

There is less mystery these days about how these celebs look, so I'm sure in person they look pretty basic.

I'm sure any of us could look like stars with personal trainers, hair stylists, make up artists, and wardrobe consultants...they're just normal people! It pisses me off that they are like gods to some people.

haha. actually a really good friend of mine looks a lot like zach braff, except with hazel eyes, and ever since someone pointed that out, i haven't been able to look at either one the same way

I'm with you k8!!!! Zach Braff is a totally barf bag. Not attractive AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!! :SICK:No way would i look at some of these people...look at stupid Britney Spears without all her stylists and helpers...she used to be so pretty and now she is just soooo gross. The others would be the same...

Zach is hilarious and talented and I used to like him till I saw this interview of his, he was a total jerk. Cameron was a little bigger in The Mask and she was still gorgeous, Heather Graham- maybe not.Owen? Naaah and thank god fr Matthew Perry! Life would not be the same without Chandler Bing :D

I like Zach Braff too! He's smart, witty, funny and talented - that's a total turn-on! I must admit I love people watching and often find myself staring at people - thinking wow that guy/girl is stunning - someday someone from Hollywood is going to spot them and make them a star. So, I definitely believe some people have that special spark - that's the reason why they're stars and why we care what happens to them. Be honest none of us would be on this web page if was not for them ;-)

Aww, I like Zach Braff. He doesn't have that star quality hotness, but he's talented and a fun actor. I can see him becoming a director more and more often, like Tom Hanks or Steve Carrell (sp?). Someone has to play the 'everyman.'
