Dear Poll: Sex With Socks On?

We all have our pet peeves, and mine have to do with socks. I don't like socks with sandals and I don't like socks with sex. I wish I could explain why nudity with socks bother me, but I have no logical explanation for it. All I know is that when a guy is totally nude, except for his socks, I'm automatically turned off. And though I've talked to others that feel the same way as I do, I've encountered an entire group of people who have sex with their socks on all the time; they like their toes warm I guess. So now I have to ask you: How do you feel about socks on — and only socks — during sex?

I don't really have a preference myself, but my boyfriend sure likes them on. I wear a lot of colorful or knee high socks and he just thinks it's cute. Plus, we're usually too distracted to really bother. :)

Astro_nerd, I find the opposite to be true. If my guy is so hot for me that he can't be bothered to finish stripping down before he attacks me, well.. that's nice. :D People have sex all the time with bits of clothing still on because in that passion of the moment they didn't get around to it. Why are socks any different?

one time after my boyfriend and i had sex he looked down and was all out of breath and he says, what the hell i had my socks on! haha he was embaressed and felt like a nerd. i thought it was cute. he takes my socks off for me and kisses my feet <3

I think it's goofy-looking, but endearingly so. I wouldn't turn my husband down just for wearing socks, but we might joke about it.

To me it just seems so...dismissive of a guy to not take his socks off...it seems to say "I don't really care enough to get fully undressed, because I'm just going home after this anyway." And it seems to suggest that there was not much foreplay, I mean if things were really getting heated before the actual sex, then why would you still have your socks on? Which brings me back to my first point, it seems like "I don't care enough to have proper foreplay with you where we both get completely nude and appreciate each other's full-on nakedness." Besides, if you have a foot fetish, socks are kind of counter-productive, aren't they??

I'm with elle, I can't sleep with socks either. So annoying and I'm also with Dear...no socks on while having sex! It is definitely a turn-off.

When my feet get too cold they will cramp or charlie horse so I have to keep socks on while sleeping and having sex. It's worse for me to have to stop and run around the room because my foot is cramping up haha

I could have sex with my boyfriend if he had socks on, but only if I didn't have to look at him first. It's the visual that gets me. And I don't like the look on myself either.

I used to think it was cute, but I guess my tastes have changed. I still don't mind socks, especially if the guy's feet are ... weird. Or gross. I just don't like feet. It's a long story, but I can't even look at them. I actually go out of my way NOT to look at them. Ever. But in the winter here, it's damn cold. Even when the heat's on, it's cold, and it's always a few degrees colder indoors than outdoors (I don't know why, it just is), so socks are more practical than they are fashionable.

Im the same way, I hate socks and hardly ever wear them (I mostly wear shoes that dont require socks for this reason) But yes, it really irks me when my BF leaves his socks on when we are having sex...ive even paused and made him take them off before. ha.
