Dear Poll: Have You Ever Had a Wedding Hookup?

For single guys and gals, weddings have a reputation for matchmaking — even if that match is sometimes for just one night. After all, you're surrounded by friends, love is in the air, and booze and bad dancing are plentiful. It's no wonder that for some wedding guests, the night ends with a little bit of making out or hooking up with a fellow wedding goer. Some couples even try to seat their single friends next to each other in hopes of making a connection. I've seen it work a few times so have you ever indulged in a wedding hookup?

Oh yes I have :) I was the maid of honor at my best friend's wedding and hooked up with one of the groomsmen. We actually hooked up the night before the wedding(we were both staying at the bride & groom's apartment) then later after the wedding. REALLLLLLLLLLY cliche but I dont regret it at all. At the time, we both wanted it, and we parted on good terms.

All the weddings I have gone to, I have had dates, and the one where I didn't have a date was my father's wedding, so needless to say there was no hooking up. But thinking about it, I probably wouldnt hook up even if I was single at a friend's wedding.

yes - i've had a wedding hook up. i was actually the maid of honor at a friend's wedding and hooked up with the best man - that's bad of me - but i guess that's just getting swept up in the festivities of the event right?

At my best friend's wedding, my friend just knew that I would hit it off with her fiance's brother so the two of them did everything they could to put us together, from walking down the isle, dancing etc. They were right we really hit it off - unfortuantly we lived in two different states and the distance really kept is from turning into something but it is certainly a wedding I won't forget.

Noooo. But at my sister's wedding four years ago, I was the maid of honor and I developed and embarassingly huge crush on the best man. Nothing ever happened beyond a few friendly emails back and forth. I'd never actually hook up with someone at a wedding - especially now that I'm engaged!

I've only been to one wedding that's with my own friends and not my parents' friends. Pretty much all the men there were coupled up. There were a lot of single women.I know this because the bouquet toss was a veritable stampede. I don't remember a garter toss. Maybe they did it with, like, two guys, and that's why I don't remember. Either that or they didn't even bother.I was sitting next to a pregnant woman on one side and the MOH's boyfriend on the other.

Only recently have I been to any cool weddings and most of those have been with a boyfriend (or when I had a boyfriend--I went to one alone and the bride's friend was trying really hard to get me to "see his hotel room," but um, no). I didn't know weddings could be fun until I was 25. Before that all the weddings I had been to were church weddings followed by stale cake & punch in the church basement. NO ALCOHOL is in that punch either. No one hooks up at those things.

I've only been to 2 weddings in the past year and there was no one I wanted to hook up with, so no. Not that I would say no if the opportunity presented itself. Maybe a Javier Bardem lookalike, if I was lucky.

I haven't been to a wedding since I was 7, so of course I haven't hooked up at any weddings.

i haven't had any good friends get married yet, so most of the weddings i've been to have been cousins or family friends, ie: family affairs, ie: even though there are single hotties, it's hard to hook up with your parents around!
