Dear Poll: Do You Have Special Occasion Sex?

Sometimes I think it's silly how we wait until Valentine’s Day to justify buying flirty and totally impractical lingerie or that we don’t plan a night away until we have a good excuse — like someone else's wedding. Then again, life is busy and expensive so it makes sense that we only want to splurge on special occasions. But what about when it comes to sex? I’ve noticed that people often wait for a “special” night to try something new in the bedroom, but doesn't that ruin the spontaneity? Of course, we all like having something to look forward too so ladies, when it comes to sex, do you wait for a special occasion to pull out all the stops?

Special occassions are nice, but why wait for them? Do something crazy tonight. If anything, some special occassions are too busy or result in too much alcohol to even have sex haha. I know I'm still young.

i'll go out and get a new outfit for the evening in occasionally just to suprise my man. especially for our anniversarys or valentines day.

I don't get it... why would I deprive myself of something I want to do (or make myself so something I don't want to do) only because of the date the calendar marks? I think that going with your instinct makes it feel special, and by planning it you have the chance of not being in the mood when said date arrives, etc, so it's better to do it when the craving kicks in! There's nothing more pleasurable than getting something you yearn for the moment you do, and not risking yourself to build expectations around a certain date and then finding that either you and your partner are not in the mood to do what you expected. But I'm a virgin, so I can't speak from experience. Maybe one day I'll find it out myself. :)

I don't need a holiday for an excuse, but on the holiday's we do make it a point to get a little 1-on-1 time together, as most of the time we get so little of it. Usually for holiday's we get time away from work and stress... for birthday's and other occasions it's just fun.

if we only had sex on special occasions we would both be hurting for sex both birthdays and anniversary are spread out to far from eachother, so we do it whenever we please and boy do we please, i love hotel sex too
