Dear Poll: Do You Feed Each Other?

No, I’m not referring to buying each other meals, I mean literally taking a bite of food and placing it in the other person's mouth. This could just be a symptom of young couples in love, but every time I go out lately, I see a couple in the midst of feeding each other and I have to look away. There's something about it that makes me uncomfortable; perhaps because it often seems more intimate PDA than making out. Sure, I might give a significant other a nibble of something if his hands were full, but never in public! Obviously I’m not a fan of couples feeding, so ladies, how about you?

i dont do it in public. maybe i would when we get married or so. i do feed him if he wants to taste what im having, but only when home. if we are eating out, he should take it off of my plate.

It really depends on who's around. When it's just the two of us, we're likely to feed each other but not to the degree we do at home... and we'd probably never do it in front of family; that's just too weird.

never in a sexy or cheesy or lovey dovey way, only in an honest-to-god, "hey your sandwich looks yummy, give me some" kind of way :)

I have a habit of only taking a bite out of a biscuit or chocolate or whatever and then he'll finish the rest!

Every now and then...a bite here and there if we ordered something different or are sharing.

I never really thought about this before, but.. ew. Not 'ew' as in gross germs, but 'ew' as in sappy PDA. The grossness depends on how the people go about it and what the circumstances are.

Heck no, if he wants to try what I'm eating I'll put some on a plate for him. Plus, if it requires silverware that just weirds me out. Ew.

wow I had NO IDEA this would even remotely offend anyone. Good to know!!! we sometimes share a bite or two via feeding each other, but nothing excessive, that's just weird. But wow, the last thing to cross my mind while doing this was that it would bother anyone else! Huh. I'm thinking of all of the people I may have grossed out over the years........LOL

we don't really do this eating out. if i want him to try my food or vice versa, we set some aside on the edge of the plate. the only time i feed him is giving him a piece of gum or something. if i see someone doing it out in public i think it's a bit cheesy.

my bf does it everytime he is eatting, tho i refuse to eat some of the stuff that he eats LOL. I think its adoroble and shows he care. I start doing it too ^_<

HahahahaI honestly don'tt see the big deal of this!I don't make it a habit, but if we are in a fancy place eating dinner and he wants to try my dinner or vice versa, we'll feed each other!

No. We'll either place a forkful/spoonful on the other person's plate or do what we often do - switch plates entirely in the middle of dining (depends on what kind of restaurant it is though).

My boyfriend ALWAYS wants to feed me food, and he gets so mad cause I never want him to! I think its cute from time to time when its just the two of us, but not out in public. That is corny PDA to the extreme lol. The other day, we were sitting in the mall food court eating at Schlotzsky's deli. I told him I wanted to try a bite of his sandwich, ie. pick it up with my own two hands and feed it to myself. Instead, he just holds the sandwich two inches away from my mouth and waits for me to take a bite. ummm no. I just plucked it out of his hands mid air and took a big fat bite for myself, lol.

I hate being put in the position where there's a fork hovering in front of me and the other person (boyfriend or not) insists on me taking a bite. If i want to taste your food, I'd ask!

My bf asked me to feed him a bite of my food at a restaurant last night, in front of his brother and and guy friend. I couldn't believe it! It made me a little uncomfortable, but I guess he didn't mind.

Only if we're in the car with busy traffic and we're sharing something like french fries...I don't get super offended if I see people doing it but it's not something I do on a regular basis.
