Cool Things Invented by Women

As a girl who likes beer, I was hoppy happy to learn that women invented the stuff. Historian Jane Peyton, who's out with a new book about the origin of beer, found that 7,000 years ago in Mesopotamia, it was women who created beer, ran the taverns, and drank the brew. In fact, until 200 years ago, beer was considered a food (Queen Elizabeth I had it for breakfast!) and thus part of a woman's obligations.
