In her interview with The New York Times, Chelsea Handler makes a surprising revelation after condemning 16 and Pregnant for rewarding teens who get pregnant.
"I had an abortion when I was 16. Because that's what I should have done. Otherwise I would now have a 20-year-old kid. Anyway, those are things that people shouldn't be dishonest about it."
Besides struggling to imagine the irreverent, no-holds-barred Chelsea as a mother of a college-age young adult, what do you think about her opening up like this about such a personal experience? Not many celebrities divulge whether they've had an abortion in such a public and seemingly nonchalant way. Do you think it's important for more stars and public figures to be honest about abortion for awareness and support, or does it cross over into too personal, TMI territory?
