CNN Headline News isn't always full of laughs — at least not on purpose anyway — but they're taking a look at the Colbert Report's success and hopping in the ring. Not Just Another Cable News Show premieres April 5, according to the network. They say, "it's an entertaining way to recall some of the more memorable moments captured on video." The 30-minute show will air Saturdays at 7 p.m. ET, followed by News to Me, a series that shows hot Web videos.
Are you into watching this? I'm still a little burned by Fox News', 1/2 Hour Comedy Hour. . .

Only people who need to be warned are those who might tune in expecting the show to be funny.
1Id check it out...no warning required either ... I take a chance and tune in.
2I would rather see news on a news channel.
I am actually quite irritated when MSN runs all of those predator shows. We need more news shows that just state the facts, and fewer Op Ed shows! It seems like all news programs are filtered through some exaggerated personality.
3Colbert has nothing to worry about. A rip-off of a parody of a caricature really doesn't sound all that enticing.
4I have to make a confession. I love Glenn Beck. I have no idea why. I never agree with him but I love his show. The shame. The shame.
5I doubt this is going to work. Nor should it. I love Colbert and Stewart, but there have to be outlets for the serious dissemination of news as well--it really bothers me that most TV news (apart from what's on public TV and, I suppose, BBC America) are infotainment, not real journalism.
6I'm intrigued to see how different this is than any other news show on CNN or fox.
7When I think comedy, I think America's 24 hour news network!
