Tariffs are a way of protecting domestic production. There are tariffs on a lot of things. And like others have mentioned it goes both ways.

She's a governor, she should have enough clout to make sure the RNC donates the clothes as promised, and she should be aware of how this reflects on her.

Agreed, they are out of Sarah´s hands, retreived from THE BELLY OF THE PLANE. However Palin was wearing the beige Valentino jacket at the Chambliss stump, I know, I want it! There is more to it....EVERYTHING with Palin, where there is smoke there is fire. Palin likes it, she instigates it, press is press, ya know? I just can´t figure HOW Palin intends on being taken seriously. I mean, THE PRESIDENT? That is the person in charge of our NUCLEAR ARSENAL, or as Palin would say, NUK-U-LAR.

The Palin story is incredibly silly. It wasn't a controversy when the wardrobe was donated, and wasn't illegal. The clothes were returned, and again, there is no controversy. The real questions should be: Why is Palin geting hounded, and when will real women start to complaign about Huff Po's obvious hatred for a woman who's only real problem is that she isn't a liberal.

Also, of all the things to mess with, Bush had to get one more pot shot in at the French and mess with our cheese supply? Now I really hate that guy.
