"voters make choices" For the first hundred years politicians bought votes with free whiskey and tobacco. The only thing now is that the “freebies” are promised, and it is the children of the recipients who pay for them not the politician running for office.

From the HuffPo article: "The government is assuming that the economy contracts by 3.3% this year and remains mostly flat in 2010..." I could be misrembering something, but doesn't Obama's budget rely on there being a 3.2% growth rate in the economy? At the very least, I KNOW the new budget didn't calculate a contraction. Someone, anyone - please tell me I'm wrong. 'Cause if not, our government really is dysfunctional.

The 33% tax bracket includes people who make under $250k a year... guess Obama isn't sticking to his promise NOT to raise those folks' taxes (referring to RedState post).
