come on!! how is this A) offensive, and B) not funny? Yes, it's made to look like an old-school map of the 1800s, but that's the point! Great advertising in my estimation. It's got a clever political vibe in making you think about the current immigration situation compared to history.

3M, I must be missing something too, becuase I looked at all the links to this story and all I found were ranting comments about it. Nothing really explained why people are up in arms. Are they just generally upset about the border issue? I think it's a joke (a lame one at that) in reference to a historical map. Like Mexicans are supposed to look at it fondly and remember the good old days when they owned so much land. Or something. Honestly it's just really stupid, like most Absolut ads. and yes, why isn't it bottle shaped?

i don't get the ad. It looks to me like an early 1800's map of Texas and Mexican territories. what the point of that is, I can't tell.

I don't drink very often. But, I will be boycotting Absolut from here on out...

That ad is offensive, I can't believe they'd run a campaign like that. I don't buy a lot of vodka, but I definitely won't be buying Absolut now, and I'll tell everybody I know to boycott them.
