There was a long line when we went this morning, but we were in and out in 20mins.

Today has been very lite, in that many of the voting areas were getting people in and out very quickly.

8 hours is insane. If I saw a line, I would turn around and come back the next day, and so on. I wonder what today is going to be like... I early voted, but I didn't have to wait at all. Though a bunch of people did walk in after I left...

The problem with early voting seems to be the fact that so few polling places were opened. So everyone is crammed into lines waiting to vote at a handful of locations. It just does not make sense.

I just watched the video with Rachel Maddow and I agree TS she makes a very good point. What if you are elderly, have children, work minimum wage...the list could go on. More than an hour is unacceptable and 8-10 is just ridiculous.

Haha, my cell phone only personal finance shrewdness has saved me TONS of irritating campaign phone calls...if only there were a way to get around commercials. I guess my real fight should be we the American people who are actually influenced by advertisement. It is really scary, the idea of someone basing their vote from such little dramatized information. Plus we could save millions of dollars, think of we could do with that money if people just read :oy:.

8 hours????????????/ omg - i can imagine a lot of people i know not voting b/c it is too long and "everyone else will vote, so it won't matter" - I'm not sure I would last all of that, and I am a hardcore political junkie... the cell phone thing could be big, they are overwhelmingly for Obama and more and more people went land line less in the last 2yrs.
