The actress, who just split with Bradley Cooper, ducked into a Manhattan bookstore yesterday to grab a copy of David Brooks's new book The Social Animal: The Hidden Sources of Love, Character, and Achievement. Looks like she's ready to take in the New York Times columnist's ideas on how our unconscious mind shapes the way we love and relate to other people, a timely topic when you're trying to explain what went wrong in a relationship, or prepare yourself for a new one.
When it comes to breakup books, you could try a familiar favorite like Pride and Prejudice, which will hopefully restore your faith in love. Or you might prefer a dry nonfiction title that's sure to distract you. Do you have any books to suggest from postbreakup experience?
