Binghamton Gunman Kills At Least 12 People and Himself

A gunman at the American Civic Association building in Binghamton, NY, killed 12 or 13 people, before taking his own life today. Citizenship classes were scheduled for the day. Details are still coming out, but it appears the man was a young male.

New York governor David Paterson held a press conference recently, saying: "I speak for all of New York when I offer my prayers for the victims and families of this tragedy." Our thoughts go out to them, too.

beavis there have been some instances where another person carrying has stopped a muderer. in those instances the violence has been more contained, obviously.

there us no justice when someone you love gets murdered. Nothing will bring them back and that person either gets to go to prison or a very quick human death.

Just devastating..I agree Haus, it doesn't seem right that they get off that easy. At the end of the day, there will be no solace for the families, no trial for the person who ripped their lives apart. Its unforgivable.

Sometime, one of these murder/suicide assholes is going to run into someone legally exercising their right to carry a firearm, and their plans are going to be drastically cut short.

My heart goes out to the victims and their families...I always feel so terrible in these instances because there is no justice for these families when the coward shoots himself. I wish we could give them at least that.

If you want to take your life please go ahead and do just that, take YOUR life. All these people who go on shooting sprees and then shoot themselves should rot in a very hot very miserable place. And to think probably these people came to America looking for a better life, SMH
