Sorry Dave, not giving him any slack - it's a high pressure job for everyone concerned and as often as not, if it's problem with the writing the anchor could have seen it before the show had he bothered to come look over the scripts. I edited scripts for years and can only think of two anchors whose criticisms of scripts consistently made them better. The rest were either flexing their muscles or simply disagreed with the writer's take on the story. The set-screamers are almost never the talented ones.

nah, let's not give him any slack. why? because he's STILL an a-hole. if a clip like this featuring anderson cooper 'resurfaced', we'd be shocked, we'd be confused... but it's bill o'reilly, the biggest blowhard on TV. so this isn't shocking, and it's not "just the guy on camera" taking the fall, it's proof that he's always been a total jerk. ew.

Who was the other broadcaster (I think it was a Sportscenter guy) who blew up because of problems on the set. It's a high pressure job that they do, and when other people screw up, the only person who looks bad is the guy on camera. I think we should probably give all TV personalities a little slack on this.Just my opinion. :evil:

And that was when he didn't have his own show. I shudder to think what he's like now.
