Barack Obama and Michelle Obama at Inauguration Parade
President Obama Continues Inauguration Celebrations With Luncheon and Parade

After his swearing-in ceremony, President Barack Obama continued his inaugural festivities today first with the signing of a proclamation to commemorate the inauguration, then with an inaugural luncheon, and finally with a parade that he kicked off by walking with Michelle Obama along the parade route to the sounds of screaming fans. Barack also honored his wife, Michelle, at the luncheon, finishing his speech with "To my extraordinary wife, Michelle: there is controversy about the quality of our president; there is no controversy about the quality of our current first lady."
The parade paid homage to the hometowns and schools of the first family with floats like the Hawaii State float — featuring a large volcano — to honor Barack's birthplace and an Illinois State float for Michelle's home state. Barack, Michelle, Sasha, and Malia appeared to be enjoying themselves, even getting up and dancing at times. There was an especially cute moment during the parade when the girls snapped pictures with their iPhones of their parents kissing. See the Obamas continue with the day's inaugural events before tonight's two inaugural balls now!
