Hillary Clinton slam dunked Indiana's primary, picking up the biggest share of the Hoosier state's 84 delegates according to CBS News.

Hillary had polled ahead in the state leading up to voting today. The split wins today almost guarantee the campaign will continue through the races up to June 3. Do you think this win legitimizes her ability to continue running? Are you glad she's still in the picture? Six in 10 Democrats say Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama should both continue their presidential campaigns — are you with them?
Al Gore has said this race won't end in a brokered convention — do you agree? Did either of the results surprise you today? Where does the race stand now?

Ugh....well I voted for Obama and I still believe he has got the legit chance at the nod, not her...I think it doesn't bode well for the party, which should have been able to easily get back into the White House, to keep this up.
1I had heard before Pennsylvania that Hillary needed to win a 60% share in every primary from that point to have a chance. How does splitting these give her a mathematical chance?
2She doesn't have a chance unless the superdelegate do a mass reversal of their support for Obama. He started out with a 130-ish delegate lead, and so if they just split these delegates he will maintain that lead. Plus, North Carolina has 50 more delegates than Indiana, so his win there will be more beneficial than her win in Indiana.
Plus, Obama won all of the demographics in North Carolina under 60 year olds, so that kind of stops her argument that he can only win the AA vote.
3What happens on June 3rd again? I am spacing...
4It's the last day of primary voting. South Dakota and someone...
5I'll check
Montana!
6Wow... I cannot believe how long this has dragged on... yay for those states though! its not often they get so much attention being at the end of this cycle!
7We just had our primary in North Carolina...I heard Obama won.
8That's what the news stations are reporting...
9Bill was campaigning for Hillary in North Carolina. I wonder whether he was able to help her numbers. Everyone thought that Obama had up that state, and he certainly did win. But nobody is giving up! And I think the primary will be stronger for it, except that they are spending a LOT of money
10She is only leading by 4% right now! They still haven't called it because there are very popular areas that haven't been counted yet. I didn't expect Indiana to be this close!
11I think (clearly) that she should stay in it. We've lasted this long...what's one more month?
12Has anyone called it yet Citizen? She's making her victory speech. LOL
13I think that she should stay in it, but I also think that she should start playing like they are on the same team. I have been a bit disappointed in her behavior recently. I think she can still make a good case for herself with out going there.
14Best headline yet.
15Well cbs called it. I can't find anyone else.
16Jill I still believe that it's good for him. If he can withstand Hillary it will be good practice for the republicans. I mean in case you haven't heard she is the toughest there is.
Do you think this win legitimizes her ability to continue running?
Does it matter what anyone but Hillary thinks?
Given the numbers I don't think she
stands a realistic chance at winning the nomination (see Jill's stats above), but that hasn't stopped her so far.
17You're right harmonyfrance, it's just CBS at the moment, but I've got my eye on it... it's close!
18Well raccoon eyes are better than human eyes. Stay on it rac!
19Hehe it's funny because I'm actually stressing a little over the results...probably because it was my first time ever voting today! I wore my sticker proud all day lol.
20I think this article was prematurely written. The second most Democratic and African American county in the state hasn't been counted yet. You can't say Hillary has won anything until you count that county.
21Is Indianapolis counted yet? I've been trying to keep up with our news and I haven't heard that Marion County's called it.
22Oooooh, it's Lake County. I'm sorry but Lake has got to be a lock for Obama - it's basically Chicago.
23I think it is Gary Indiana that hasn't been counted yet. It is expected at 12am EST! Yowza!
2440,000 votes separate them! I feel like I am watching a football game!
25I have to say I think it's amazing she's held her own...when part of this state are "basically Chicago."
26Looking at the counties Obama got, he got people that are going to vote Dem in the general - the cities and college towns...it looks like Hillary got a lot of more rural areas. Not that Indiana matters in the general though.
27Um...why would you give a victory speech before you actually get the victory?
28its all over... the messiah is going to be the democratic nominee and Mccain will be president
29Hoo boy. 49/51. Yikes. This might be a Dewey defeats Truman yet...!
30Ahhhhhhhhh! Come on Hillary!
31it be over.
32she kinda was wrapping it up in her "victory" speech, thanking chelsea and bill.
Geez this is close....what's weird too is that our governor primary is even closer, 50/50.
33Only 16,000 votes separating them now! Wow!
34i cant believe how close indiana is right now, she will probably win it but boy it sure turned out to be a heck of a race there. so much for the rev. wright stuff huh? obama killed it tonight!!!
35i cant believe im about to say this but i feel for hillary, she cancelled all of her appearances tomorrow and there is word that she had to loan herself another sum of money these last couple days. i think may 20th is it for this primary fight as it was said on MSNBC tonight, that night is going to put obama over the top for delegates and pretty much secure the nomination for him!!
36can i also just add that john king on CNN is so annoying with his map thingie. he goes back and forth every two seconds to the same thing. i just thought that was funny, lol.
37Okay, CNN hasn't updated numbers for 30 minutes, John King is saying they're counting the absentee ballots (slowly? by hand?) so it seems like we're stalled at 95 percent of the vote counted for a bit. If anyone hears an official announcement, give a holler!
Boy, oh boy!
38Ummmm...do you think you could call it now CNN? It's 99% reporting. Geeze!!
39What a nailbiter! It will be interesting to see how Hillary treats the win. She squeaked by, but the delegate situation still favors Barack. Somehow I have a feeling this is gonna still go on for a while...
40NBC just called it!
41FOX NEWS called it!
42Finally CNN called it.
43Thank goodness! Checking now!
44Well CNN too! Man! We had to work for that one!
45I know! I'm exhausted and am going to promptly fix myself a cocktail. Here's one for you too citizen!
46It'll be interesting to see how this plays out tomorrow. Splitting the delegates in Indiana, the NYT says 56-42 in NC...
47Aw thanks harmonyfrance! Way to hang in there!
48Wow, that was pretty exciting. Not quite a "slam dunk" but it was interesting watching the Hammond, IN mayor grill and mention improper action toward the Gary, IN mayor on CNN before the projection was finally called.
49Even if Hil wins EVERY state primary (isn't Dean calling for one of them to drop out by/in June?) she can not get the delegates needed to get the nod. Obama is ahead in delegates & the popular vote, I'm getting a little pissed off that Clinton won't just drop out, it's hurting the Dems on a whole by dragging this thing out.
